General Terms of Use

1. Availability of the reservation service: The Parks Canada Campground Reservation Service 1 o. }& b* T D* ]1 ?$ Y V6 c
is available to all campers by telephone at 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783) between" Q$ v+ n6 t* W) c. S; y6 s
7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local park time or online 24-hours a day at www.pccamping.ca.
4 I! E9 W$ ?; w You can make a camping reservation from the system launch dates up until 12:00 midnight
! E( X# l& J S& s3 f, g on the night prior to your arrival. Same day reservations are not accepted.
# {- w6 ?! C/ v4 Z( |0 [3 M7 l1 g( [2. Times: All times quoted in these Terms of Use are the local time at the park where your4 @/ P$ |7 d7 t) H
reservation is made (e.g. hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local park5 j* ~: B4 x! B# B; a$ w# A
time – for a reservation made in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in British Columbia,

4. Daily entry fees: The fees paid when you make your reservation do not include your0 t( c. v# N( K0 R7 I) B
national park daily entry fees. You will be required to pay these daily entry fees upon6 B" n. h5 y* }. r; p% i
arrival at the park.# Y: S; K% |8 F/ v0 e
5. Reservation fees: The reservation fee is non-refundable and covers the operating cost of4 S5 H7 m1 q" B3 K3 `/ Z% _
the Parks Canada Reservation Service. This fee is charged per stay. A stay is defined as3 _) U' J( A r" j, ?) s
a series of consecutive nights (not exceeding the maximum length of stay) in the same: [9 n9 x& P$ z+ v
campground. The fee to make a reservation is $10.80.- n2 o, \3 \& M7 [% ?0 I! m2 m2 Z
6. Camping fees: Camping fees are the fees paid for use of the campsite. They are charged on
- Z+ p2 D& R1 b2 V a per night basis and the price is dependent on: the park; the campground; the type of) s) ~. o2 ^! j1 F3 u0 h' C) V( K# s
campsite; and the service type.
/ @3 U+ f2 T) \8 H, i1 A% G. Z) n7. Changes and cancellations: Fees are also charged if you change or cancel a previously. r5 x6 U0 t8 D. Y+ A( D$ _7 S
confirmed reservation. The fee for each change or cancellation is $8.80 and is non-refundable.& {! k$ S# @ G
These fees, along with any additional costs for camping, are due when you make the

9. Certified cheques and international money orders: Certified cheques and international% u! U& q# n9 c |
money orders are only accepted over the telephone; reservations using these forms of$ D; }' ~# `3 j) j8 ~$ R
payment cannot be made on-line. When this method of payment is used, campsite reservations' A/ f2 a1 C2 \% L1 L( \
will not be confirmed until the payment is received and processed.
5 @) V3 N) A, w. V) K All reservations using certified cheques or international money orders must be made at
. {5 x) W4 c( E, T least 35 days prior to your date of arrival at the campground. Payment must be received# |+ a2 a+ e* B/ F: M8 q& h, d
for processing no later than 21 days from the date that the reservation was made.( V6 T* }3 b* W
& i* _- i# u& z/ h1 G- A& Q- M( S2 C4 }
We will inform you of your confirmation number by email or by telephone once your6 ]6 i8 F5 A# K& C! V5 s+ G# S) t* t
certified cheque or international money order payment has been received and processed.

10. Confirmation number: A confirmation number will be provided at the end of every completed# B5 U* v' }1 c/ d/ S' E
reservation. If you do not receive a confirmation number, your reservation is not complete.

It is important that you take note of this confirmation number and bring it with you to
0 d* ~- S# y. z7 S the campground. It is must be given to Parks Canada staff so that they can register you

, ^$ v. G7 K8 \5 r For reservations made by telephone, you have the option of providing an email address
3 B. A' {, ^' a3 _ to receive an electronic confirmation, and/or you may want to write down the confirmation
% _3 T. z+ M& E$ t number when you receive it verbally from the Customer Service Associate.

For reservations made on-line, you should enter your email address to receive an
6 S }7 y1 t; ^5 B9 e electronic copy of your confirmation. You can also print out the confirmation screen,7 K3 _2 {8 O0 d; g) t& v
and/or write down the confirmation number.0 E* o' A( V( P" T6 x5 Y) f

Remember that if you pay for your reservation by certified cheque or international

11. Changes before check-in: You can change your reservation until 2:00 p.m. (local park time)5 J; y6 n1 m0 S& {* m4 G% w% w
on your scheduled day of arrival. Changes may include changes in date, campground (within
$ L4 I' ]+ H9 S3 g the same national park), campsite type, service type, etc. Changes can be made online# a% @) }6 ?, ^! b, j
or by telephone. You will be charged a fee of $8.80 to make a change.2 l9 c# O/ w5 C+ W3 e
12. Cancellations before check-in: Cancellations can be done online or by telephone. You
9 R% B% G0 [6 n will be charged a fee of $8.80 to cancel. A reservation can be cancelled before you
3 K( m: |) E5 h/ ^ check-in to the campground, subject to the following:2 P" j( C' I& C- N& d2 t9 G( e$ m
- If you cancel your reservation prior to 2:00 p.m. on your scheduled day of arrival,) Y* p2 C& `3 c. V$ C
you will get a full refund for all of the camping fees you paid when you made your! ?+ f! ]3 a2 {4 S* ?5 K
reservation. The original $10.80 reservation fee is non-refundable and, in addition,; B( `; O+ c' D h w, Y
you will be charged a cancellation fee of $8.80 for this transaction.
3 F5 W: m' i& o1 }/ r - Cancellations made after 2:00 p.m. on your scheduled day of arrival and before
U( C+ _! v+ n0 @, k$ q 11:00 a.m. on the following day will result in you losing the fees paid for one night
8 }9 g& g4 o" L* Q9 O of camping. You will be refunded the fees paid for the rest of your stay. The original
8 j8 y9 r6 Q' Z/ M& H7 F $10.80 reservation fee is non-refundable and, in addition, you will be charged a/ G/ e8 M: y; J9 _6 F! ~
cancellation fee of $8.80 for this transaction.

Changes and cancellations after check-in # I+ ?8 L( a( M+ u5 z, \( ?! K
0 y0 Z2 Z; N' { \3 k13. Changes after check-in: We will do our best to accommodate any changes you request to
( ] v0 G7 Y$ ]* r9 z. I, {% p9 u your campsite once you are registered. It is important to note that changes cannot be
+ E( o1 s" B6 }! j( B6 k guaranteed and can only be accommodated if a suitable campsite is available. If a change
3 R) I" u1 Z( m is requested, there may be a difference in the new camping fee charged based on the
# p8 o' C! W* M9 o) z s" C services provided at the new campsite. The camping fee will be adjusted but the $8.80
) c" i' o k$ }; S* t change fee will not apply. Availability may be limited.
5 G1 B1 D0 Z) U$ p6 D, g1 M14. Shortening your stay: We recognize that plans change. There is no penalty for leaving
% w1 n; \4 x! y( ~ earlier than your original day of departure, provided that you notify the campground
( g" s% \5 ~. ?, s# Z# l prior to the check-out time on the day you want to leave. The $8.80 cancellation fee

1 W8 v4 q `, t3 ^, K15. Late Arrivals – Notification on the day of arrival until 11:00 a.m. the day after the

on the day of arrival, but you still wish to retain your reservation, you must contact% C" f- f. M. [; P8 X/ F6 M
the park office. If you do not know the telephone number for the park,

16. Late Arrivals – Notification after 11:00 a.m. the day after the expected day of arrival:& f4 \/ H( z) D
If you are not able to make it to the campground before 11:00 a.m. the day after your
/ Z( `, ?6 C% s/ s& n expected day of arrival, and you have not notified us, the fees paid for your first two8 }6 V/ s6 t5 [/ Q
nights of camping will not be refunded. You will also be considered a "No-show" (see
7 z4 t3 ^: j# J# K% ` policy #17) and your reservation will be cancelled. Please let us know about any late
6 o) N& J6 |5 X arrivals in advance.% d. }5 E) P$ R% l' g- b
& O% p( u8 P" n: b$ L; A9 S; V1 ]+ BNo-Shows & g% i3 p1 R4 ]8 ?
( V: Y! F# ?" G$ ]% ?! i8 o0 m17. No-shows: If you do not arrive at the campground by 11:00 a.m. on the day after your
/ |/ I( T2 J* J) Q scheduled day of arrival, and if you have not contacted the park to inform them of
; Z8 U6 y. k1 }4 J9 Y. k your late arrival, you will be deemed a "No-show."+ N& c5 `2 L7 B! ?
: C* q6 j6 p* V! ?2 ^9 E When you are deemed a "No-show," your reservation will be cancelled and your campsite3 Z5 ? G: t0 h$ j! H" e
will be made available to other campers.$ B& n$ F6 ^( Y7 x; \/ G' w9 L

If you are deemed a "No-show," you can claim your refund of the total camping fees& n% ]5 t6 ?: j# O$ w. i/ R$ }; f
paid, minus a penalty of two-nights of camping and the original, non-refundable,! O' H5 `! @$ ^+ U
reservation fee of $10.80. This is provided that you contact the park within 30 days( l2 |9 z4 ]# d( a9 ^* S! x
