% }' s& Q* _5 w) { E; u On Saturday, August 14 and Sunday , August 15, 2010, in the heart of the Downtown, Sir Winston Churchill square will be transformed into a tropical carnival where families and community members young and old will find joy in spending time together, discovering Latin rhythms, exotic flavors, and new friends. The festival will have a diverse program, involving new emerging artists, which will include flamenco,tango,ethnic folkloric dance, chacha, salsa as well as bandsspecializing in Latin jazz, Merengue and music from Brazil. % o8 _3 `* L# a. L; @$ x$ M$ O( U

A vibrant, lively, local event that will be free for the public to enjoy.

The Edmonton Latin Festival (E.L.F.) is brought to you by the Edmonton Hispanic Cultural Society. We are an incorporated non-profit, primarily volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting multiculturalism through music, dance and the arts. The main goals of the Latin Festival are to bring awareness to the uniqueness of Hispanic heritage, creating opportunities for cultural exchange amongst Edmontonians and fostering understanding and respect between all peoples that make up the diverse population of our city . We rely entirely on funding from fundraisers anddonations from generous sponsors.
