FUNCTIONS:

- ?$ o7 Q3 I( SThe Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

9 f4 q! G6 z6 @1 V* M, j8 A· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.( e' @7 \1 D6 Y+ j# W" p

5 p+ W  H' z2 k. P; p· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

4 I* N2 b0 N% l! c· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.

+ U0 V  N0 T- |2 o· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.- s1 z9 o3 P% d/ I% k& r- M

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.  X, Q0 F( }5 z8 q1 W( X

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

· Demonstrated expertise in streamlining of processes to improve operational efficiency.: I! H3 Y; K( O: _% L1 v

HOURS OF WORK:

: a8 u1 P  ~: T3 }, c6 `2 N7 u33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

SALARY RANGE:: f) \: M' O5 v  k

* I3 @0 H. t) q0 n7 i3 m7 j21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.% |- k. u  L" J8 M5 Z
