/ u' P' \9 y) ?" ^Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! a  W: c5 }( R4 @/ f Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
0 [/ g5 ^7 i% N1 D Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. ~, U" ^, ?' R! q2 v5 i8 v Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
+ N5 H" n2 d$ W Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
% B) ?% w0 o) s2 W Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
. [4 ~) O6 B7 ]+ H" w
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" E( ^' x0 W5 J Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- c) t# n" p- B( ]* r: F9 c Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 f+ @( ]/ Z( \7 g Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

. |5 y/ t  @, A/ h0 rThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
