An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

) [& {7 I5 K5 L* yMajor Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
+ P. a  @4 r' S7 j: c1 b" h•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
3 M4 v. T. |* E3 O* T% y•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
/ {/ k: R3 \' v( ^2 t8 C$ x# Q0 {•        Others.

" N4 B/ [8 W+ j" ~" ]- S- sQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
( E. M1 U0 T7 Y" Y% x# `•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

1 I8 g! `; s  @/ ^# E% N# v5 k- sSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
