An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

9 w; F2 s! M& N4 e) I/ kMajor Responsibilities:
/ g* \! @0 H0 f+ e•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
+ \' D" p* D2 K( Y' J# a  v& E8 d% y•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
# E8 |. {! ?; \$ v; ~, Y•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
% d) p6 t: h0 S  k" e$ z•        Equipment design experience is required;
8 ?" M$ Z8 k4 g* ]. ^- ?1 c1 X0 Z8 H•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
; `4 B5 i1 w4 k; i$ P$ h, I•        Familiar with CAD software;
8 B2 [3 u$ b# V& \# ~/ F•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
4 {( K/ P! E8 d* k3 L! S$ g# W•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
