An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

1 L# A* g T8 y! B9 u% j# \• Process research equipment design;
, E: s3 b. t8 R! o• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers; t3 J7 F. r1 W% I3 N
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
4 t% R3 P- b6 k/ ]• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;8 M; F# O6 y/ g& S# ~
• Others.

1 U1 Y5 I+ z% o, o7 [& C- l$ m: bQualifications:5 J3 Z U9 K; Q% o0 H+ u8 H
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. * W W# i5 q8 h
• Equipment design experience is required;
1 P2 Y3 E) T2 |& M7 G% v' p• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;8 x+ Z% N: c$ f0 D8 e' O5 @: ?
• Familiar with CAD software;6 ]# c% e# x3 h& \
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;2 U$ B' X. a3 D% f* W8 i# C* D( S
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.; H2 V$ v# C+ l; B7 e: r- s

Compensation:
5 [& s/ i& e d: @: S: Z! N- RSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. & [3 F2 A; m- R( M3 z/ |$ ?+ ~
