Major Responsibilities:; ^' H, }- P. `, [5 U8 W6 m$ i* f1 B
• Process research equipment design;
\7 Z# I: j" G2 t$ D1 r• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;5 K! X! C f( H0 ^* a1 t% o3 I
• Equipment fabrication guidance; `+ Y& E& Q' i' k! p2 n
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
* H+ e8 x6 a2 S5 c' l" H• Others.) |; b' m& T' M
( Y( h" H' u2 p3 w7 F- s1 B8 zQualifications:/ S7 A6 s8 F# Y8 P" {: s' ]
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
4 Y: \; O+ b. Y' I+ k• Equipment design experience is required; t$ O M6 i' X! x* o
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
6 ` Y* v/ V. t% n1 q• Familiar with CAD software;/ S2 I; x% a# s5 W
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
7 j. I7 J( `4 a• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
