Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

5 r: Z7 {% w( kKey Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
3 @7 ?3 g' w" M7 mReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
0 m' i% V) b3 S8 R  m% gResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
0 G) p2 |, i. RMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications
/ Q" s5 a& m1 A+ R- r4 Z* P: G
. U" D/ _- R  aGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
* A( Y+ R9 p. |9 T! B5 w2 G! rMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
9 }/ n6 V  W" GUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
& o7 z6 _  H( u2 _0 {1 n. U) zCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
% [8 w3 D  ^! g+ t# AAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
