Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  D! D6 v  f8 j& F3 SWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
' L$ r8 S) N5 {7 JReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 z/ a# c: i' ~% y/ aMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

% o. Y1 E  p( A! Q6 i
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
4 g! |+ C& U9 H7 qUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
6 o. b; [% Q4 a, }Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
