The YWCA has an opportunity for a Volunteers Services Coordinator. Volunteer Services supports a number of programs and events within the organization. This dynamic position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to make a significant contribution to the YWCA." K7 e. o8 v: F

3 a6 d6 y) W" P+ j5 o1 d• Responsible for the development, orientation, coordination, recruitment, screening, training and integration of volunteers into YWCA programs, services and special events./ y2 C- d; I' C" C; h9 {
• Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures for volunteer services.7 I. w, G. Q& F8 v
• Maintain the volunteer files and update the database using Raisers Edge
9 A6 v6 l; T0 Z$ p/ q; B% z• Ensure that appropriate training is provided, on an on-going basis while giving volunteers opportunities to expand their knowledge, expertise and skills.
7 v6 I0 P" S1 Y* t* Y: z' b• Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recognition program.
! h; Y+ v7 S6 D& T• Measure and report on key volunteer metrics including satisfaction, engagement, turnover and volunteer hours.
3 B5 I, g& M O( l• Identify and implement best practices in regards to volunteer development.
$ ] [7 m9 w3 d5 i, D5 u• Facilitate placement of practicum students, and grant-funded personnel throughout the agency, in order to provide appropriate career development opportunities
% o# B; F+ _' s, D; o( j6 j( Y3 i• Collaborate with other agencies to provide suitable placements for Persons with Developmental Disabilities. Orient volunteers and their support workers, schedule work-dates and provide direct supervision when required- B: w& B) N+ P. j- C5 ~

• Plan and execute the Power of Being a Girl Conference, in consultation with the CEO

• Develop and maintain job descriptions for each volunteer position
* b$ H" b; i1 S! D; @1 ^• Maintain secure volunteers files in accordance with privacy legislation

• Ensure Human Resource policies and procedures are adhered to within the department/ n/ v& J+ K8 C$ G
• Maintain an up-to-date Policy and Procedures manual for the department and develop new policies and procedures as required
; _! C/ }4 E' r. t• Ensure that all forms related to volunteer recruitment and placement are up to date and implemented throughout the agency

• Prepare volunteer statistics for grant and funding applications, for this program and other programs within the agency. Provide supporting documentation when required G8 M# l, P( A, h# N/ ]

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONS
+ A. u3 w" P" S' U6 d: j• Act as liaison to the Y-Knit group of volunteers
8 [% E8 g) h5 y+ e) O4 f/ w• Act as agency’s liaison to other volunteer organizations (e.g. Volunteer Management Group, Volunteer Alberta)" D8 Z3 R$ M* z5 l: x9 O
• Follow up with correspondence to outside agency volunteers as appropriate % N2 ]1 S6 f' S3 F2 ^
• Attend external functions such as volunteer fairs, trade shows, and special events as required( n8 Q& ~7 V! K( m0 U5 J

• Minimum 2 years experience in Volunteer Coordination2 f' h0 Z! H, B1 Y
• Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability

• Ability to work to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
