) D7 e, w( K/ t' \( R) H% B
* q2 T2 L( o: v; @, b+ v: q  J Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' T2 k3 K" ?. D+ h1 k Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 A( L6 E. \! \" L7 ^$ ]& A' n Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 G$ F3 N7 S7 u8 z& j Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; g" m3 z$ P# W7 X) ^ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

' R1 L3 O2 l+ i% t  Z  L; { Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 S9 d! T! S% w1 f( L/ D* H" g9 A Knowledge of community resources.
( x5 b' C7 z* K+ h0 P Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& C9 f* U7 @( x' d' n2 g8 U. y" P Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

0 h. w( x. n' f$ C# JPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 k, U% p* N9 [- S( dstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
