 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 f: b' n& @! O7 U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" E6 C8 [- p+ b( X3 @* A9 h Completing required paperwork.
7 [, N5 v, ~8 W Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
: N' X' I2 L4 U) r3 Y/ W* ~ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
- ~, W) ]6 V7 H9 Y3 V Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ E$ \2 X& d9 ~' H Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' \3 g' v) T! m2 m' a1 | Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ n/ _* t# l6 X6 j( Z1 E; z Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
/ o% u) x! N& t# K% J. o5 F Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" N" _3 J% ~1 N( v8 { Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
0 q0 H" V3 S7 a) t1 b Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
/ O  W: Q0 q! R: Z0 q. _This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
$ m5 n- F' c, ?7 e9 ustarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
