Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- ^7 Q7 n! i/ ]; u/ N- P/ N+ f, q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.$ V) u/ v6 ~0 x5 o. A: C K5 B
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.# O' R0 e% g# X9 K+ a
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops., Q5 n7 W: o) i, C4 l5 P# _9 b: t
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# ~( s8 I9 W% H* H! [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ I2 l% h' R. O3 D6 i Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.- m5 h, y- X: p: | }
 Knowledge of community resources. q3 K2 N' ~' G! q" u
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 0 T% W9 T$ O7 Q1 s, ^6 n
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
