& P; N8 h4 O$ m/ o2 eKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
; K4 b( Y( o$ k* ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 a% K2 w; a$ t" Y# d- _) S. \ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
( Y" P  T2 }! ]+ _: y* t; I: @ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
7 M7 W; |  w% x+ N Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

3 l$ d4 k6 C$ v. b6 | Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
6 }: z8 q  L# ]" P9 U# K Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
2 D5 I# K8 K) u3 ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
* U5 X  C' m# R5 hThere is a 3-month probationary period.
