1 p$ C& p2 ~/ ]0 G: w" M( x Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
- A  ^' s$ a3 G1 p6 x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
8 b$ B# s& ~3 z  j4 a5 w Completing required paperwork.
; N* n# u* }* g1 R) } Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
( C4 }/ g$ @& \$ d8 C0 h Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
6 ^; b; E( ^2 a* M2 j: a& K& u+ [ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' e0 J+ k9 I: m Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

+ m% H- h3 W6 WQualifications:

7 s$ V/ U1 ]! V' ? Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 ]4 C5 }' W+ k! G9 ~ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; ?6 ]9 T5 d! i+ n% Y Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
/ v: E& p! F3 E1 c Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
2 M" P7 s5 M* H$ {: t& I1 b5 QThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
