Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 o" {3 n5 {- h8 U4 J6 p" ] Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
' S& E! q! w% ?, V Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
  v) D. |3 I, b8 E- C Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 I7 {& ?; h" r, t; A* ^ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

1 e2 O" {" o0 a" O7 LQualifications:

; {6 N! I' K8 J, J8 } Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) c5 n5 q; w/ ^" [0 c. P$ j7 i6 D0 R Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 G! f1 |  N& l4 @  x  a% S8 U Knowledge of community resources.
, r9 @' O; q% } Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 ^* g+ S: ?) Q: f* Q6 j; n  y Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
8 g4 d/ o$ u8 a: N) gThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
