  Duties
Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
; N, j7 w" R: P% B' X0 v& rProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
4 d( R  S$ K/ Y0 hPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
6 F; d4 e! p6 iPerforms related tasks as needed
  e3 J# a: _; t8 [Qualifications
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
/ }" f, o! o7 q2 T/ E5 ISolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
* j- A% `2 P$ h5 {% W$ I8 a( J! rKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
