Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items0 P* E- q5 D& J6 f- g
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
% ^7 F& p, n, M( `Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound3 ?* L$ M* O9 u2 ]; ]- ~ D+ |
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead9 r) C6 T: d* j4 s) L
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions$ v9 L& S3 {; _$ F1 _4 n
Performs related duties as required3 K7 C# {+ ~; {$ b/ y6 t
Qualifications( K( D9 l) I: k! c
Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
