Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
' z, j2 p( U! \- ]9 F+ fObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
* G; @4 B" |9 S# p$ YPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
7 R& Q; A- I, ?% SOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required

9 g/ O! C, J& T5 s& B1 s+ @7 lValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
0 \* G0 f9 l- d! y4 U  ?/ lTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
