% t/ f; C3 K5 C, ? Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
8 d- E9 x, y2 [' H  E: Z Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
( b2 |, m4 F! L. L; n4 M- y Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
: p8 }" r1 V0 f9 o, ~ Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
" j2 e9 f& u! m$ U" m' I Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
( J0 U8 i5 i) H$ W6 |% B  t( ^& { Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
: d3 U. M+ `* Z9 ?: ~% M Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
8 [5 U/ e( d8 X" J Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
2 N/ b8 H; ?! t, b, f/ f Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
