 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
6 W( W4 `9 k$ w, `1 Z; ^) b, w Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
# O3 c( ]- Q7 g& h  b Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
- u) S* p* k. r0 i6 S9 Q Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
# Z5 r, [1 s/ [! T2 x% W Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
* D: C0 j3 R' C- S) [) O Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
! T3 \# q0 a- J3 k3 U" F Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
+ l6 W* B3 {" e) {1 J. y0 p" Z Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
. s- u9 q( m4 L& `7 A Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
# g6 K3 y& }1 h6 J" ?; \ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
6 X9 N% ^7 }) K+ X* i Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
