  s* W; }8 K6 V2 V8 Z0 t$ _ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
) Q" A; S  V- N Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
* s: u! u4 v! U- H Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
% K  p; @- w# j) u' h0 Q Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
, N2 o9 w. S% C Current RSW designation preferred   
0 L! R* W8 h" Q# t% f; a$ d( B Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- b8 V) d( K, v; o# z+ C. r Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
