 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
" c7 m" w2 s  W4 @+ H3 | Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
9 ^% m& K' [4 k6 l8 P# F+ B1 ~* u2 v# k Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
1 G0 m$ ^9 k0 t; y; h; S Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
* g0 k2 l4 X* C8 U( r/ ]( D Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
; C6 d; P& a' @( Y% C% a. J8 ^ Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
- X% @% v  Z) m8 _1 o6 R Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
. L# o% `" l1 u0 l; U+ _ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
