  D: ^3 E( }1 o, `0 ~" V+ a+ z/ l# J. Y4 \ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
9 t2 {/ O2 j+ m5 E: R Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
( N) O; M9 _, k/ w5 {; u9 }& ? Current RSW designation preferred   
$ K4 [" ]% c4 | Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
. ?( x4 q: ^- ~( m5 m Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
4 I! u! c- x1 L% p; E Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
3 J( w0 o" L9 A; F Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
