 Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that / q0 g9 M2 R% X5 N, Z+ |
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community
' K$ |! i! t, b6 A, X) q+ r Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. - e8 w6 ]0 k4 T
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation
* t8 e4 F( s" k$ o3 _4 _" ? Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals
! P# d1 x5 K, H1 G" ^ Facilitate group processes and workshops

 Community development and CED background and experience/ _& O w# D; ?* @# I
 Strong group facilitation skills

 Understanding of cross-cultural issues' n5 k* D: c+ _" Y
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills

 Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.) k! K2 J1 w$ ~2 k
