We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

W! z5 k2 ^% N& M' \$ B2 M  p9 tReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

; a, u1 R& `2 N- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

4 N  j1 D8 h9 P0 K- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
/ I- n% ^: |7 P$ N* V) D$ `8 z
! L3 {. b0 w( c1 U- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
& P1 P" n- l+ c% W
* ^& {+ k. P3 i: }- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

5 w$ }' g: W7 k( G- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

7 x2 J7 t' T3 n- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
