We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

YReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

: f7 o1 a7 V  k' |9 N# B7 D/ }- Gathering and documenting requirements;

* L4 \5 v( v' d* r0 @$ K* m% L+ U8 d2 u- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

6 f8 E5 o: ]6 t. R, o  z- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

% N" e+ f0 c" \# G: S) f* s- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

: C$ V2 I* S& a7 l: Q( O( C0 x7 d- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

( x  b( e( z0 N5 D- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

1 A# {- d6 ~& d- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

  D7 O" i, q% u# B- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
