We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;
4 R/ s- a8 G2 B/ \3 y) g
% _$ N1 u& x7 E& _! g% Q8 M0 t- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

; j+ b( [) Y* C2 [- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

4 r" }7 J, S% t/ p1 v2 Q6 B- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

, _& n6 v2 z4 H2 i! y6 ?  b- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

$ q$ r6 n( e' T" F0 [6 B: C( Y- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

# q8 D& O. X- H- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Y, Y6 b5 [4 ~- Q# s8 P" d- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
