We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

: H; B2 @9 |  o5 a- TReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

, G7 ?  o+ x+ l1 d/ K; k/ ?- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
, o% G4 Z7 v7 M' W1 i" H3 g3 y
- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- q, p) z  O/ V& `4 Q; l1 p9 G- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

; P# |2 P3 p- t/ D! b5 o- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

) J+ e4 e+ s5 c. }8 d0 H+ e$ q- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

) P8 r4 L2 D- W$ I5 Z- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

4 A6 l6 e! E) q, q2 Z- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
