We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

& r& e/ [) c2 v1 F* sReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;
4 J/ ]/ {! R& c: n" L& I# a
- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

0 x& ?+ l2 C" [! H; C$ p- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

/ N3 I# O. p$ k/ W. [  K! ~, e/ e- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

; `1 d& l; |% Q  }  e! ?; P$ a. {% o- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

4 f' l0 N: M5 J6 g' g- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

" y  t6 V. `( b- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

/ R: o7 y# v4 c- m5 r- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

. f1 n8 `: h& \2 l) `# Y- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- ~; q+ o2 e6 q( ~- q% `
