- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
2 w z7 G, c) D: U! s% q- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
# l% J9 G6 _$ R6 q- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
" l8 L+ x4 u9 K3 X& T( [- provide support to ISP staff
; L( A4 c" \3 X& S9 U5 X% c" |8 C- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members- Y6 P0 E! D) p' k6 m
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities; B1 o* \" c" Q; m5 K/ Z+ q) c( P
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
% H. F D5 u( W! n! k: m- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants4 \; J" }! |6 @$ Z; ^; o
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
9 W. u" X& W" v% c/ O% ~" k! B- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
% J d7 H- P# m2 n, J) r7 C3 h5 D- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
# s4 V3 K! J) e( w- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
6 n8 C4 r' K6 c1 ]" Z* \- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications; Z+ W. O1 [ E! H0 L
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
& D% P( ]3 ?3 x9 A. H% X5 i- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
/ }, B) X% ^' P- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
) Q0 N& ^, R1 y/ @* ^2 m* S- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software' K/ u8 _ v4 ~! e4 F/ m. u
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
* p& _# B8 M+ X9 d }- good interpersonal and people skills
% Y* o( ]7 Y& {7 z M- w- good organizational and coordination skills
