Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:% N- E- N( i3 h9 e% n) j* W
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;, u2 i, H0 s9 _' o
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.( k# p; z2 o/ {% l
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.* r8 x; y, I8 H3 W
