YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:. w/ Y; J9 g* Q4 i; m
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired% o/ L# |+ ~( Y! u2 k2 n* B9 q& ^
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
Z& }# z. q z• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records , ^3 f. V$ Y! b
• Input benefit deductions into payroll

: G0 y0 [/ Z( F" h/ s# pReporting duties:
! L n8 m! ~" d9 ]' P3 S1 A• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
% V% H( J7 Z! V• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
* \/ c& ~- k3 g7 `5 @8 b• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
3 {) v- ~; v' G7 v: D+ x. @• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll - v8 D2 w. g- h
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
! ?; g% \2 B E1 R• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies- E! A) |0 S7 l. q& M: _% i X' F
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
3 v, Z6 o5 U" Z% O% V• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
/ Q) x3 Z) _( t! f9 e• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department1 J0 n4 ?/ [( c* c2 ~
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
2 X; T) z) R0 b, ~/ A x• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing! V. {4 a, a' f: ^5 h7 _6 ^1 b. ^! v7 I

Qualifications:+ h; m3 h. Q& R9 {
) N$ N1 S0 j5 _, E8 w+ ~• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP: M, z/ `2 I2 H g: x
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
6 U7 t9 c8 g/ r4 `$ e5 y• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
" i7 f! u$ X4 Y) n0 w• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office# Z5 B& J( X& S) x
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
