The Supports for People with DisABILITIES Program requires a 48 hour Weekend Worker for the Northwood Residence. This position will provide residential support to 3 men with developmental & physical disabilities and personal care needs. The hours for this position are Friday 11:00pm – Sunday 11:00pm.

Responsibilities include:
0 s* F" A2 a0 G, P( c* d" A• Acting as a strong advocate for the individuals in the community
% M8 N, W( ?' H( l7 G• Program implementation
7 R* A$ o5 y4 S/ [; l& v3 C4 U• Completion of daily documentation and data collection
+ a4 ^+ @4 h2 q$ R1 ]• Facilitation of recreation and leisure
• Personal care, including lifts and transfers of individuals
• Behavior management
9 @" Q: q* v3 K' d# e• Medication Administration
• Day to day operations in a residential setting, including meal preparation, and household cleaning and maintenance

Education
1 H5 a* N3 H7 F# a2 s7 o% J# I• Completion of a high school diploma
$ l7 S' H* ~9 P1 V; [) J• Six months of experience in the Human Services field
Training & Clearances (*Available from McMan at no cost to the employee)
• Security Clearance Check including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
+ _3 V2 D: }) J' q8 k8 d5 M• Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
• Standard First Aid with CPR
• *Suicide Awareness or Suicide Intervention training
• *Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training
• *Medication Administration

Skill Sets
' b6 s' \  L  X# j6 s  F5 N• Good verbal and written communication skills
) V5 ]- e+ v1 b1 g6 ?• Experience with personal care
5 Z6 c7 f# f% |: P6 [• Ability to complete physical lifts and transfers of individuals
; ~2 B  |$ \5 rSalary: $13.43 - $14.25 per hour, plus benefits beginning day one of employment
