9 m" ?( k. j) |1 s; |! ]) c+ Y qPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 i+ \& u3 m3 N" c8 H4 C5 Z

Key Responsibilities:
- t# Q$ O# n- T4 X% e1 K• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# o/ [* G/ R" \+ M0 b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* s/ ~- b: O9 V9 G• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 ~ [, T0 x, _9 c: L
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter- }& D% N0 O) M+ M# s
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
0 }& i8 U/ U9 k7 T• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents" B; m& {; a4 u5 q O$ c m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
* g3 Q3 o0 B W; c$ B• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ a" h/ u2 L. w3 O/ D8 p
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
. C& m9 u1 a- Q1 N( j: u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person" c) W7 T8 t% C( c$ n
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
7 M* e. H0 b9 y) H; Q, i) ~• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 b& ?; \$ X) m d' w• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, X& n- h# W5 |, B" Q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook8 I; J# ] e5 W
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately + c! V* j; V2 K7 N
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds6 W% |9 D$ ^1 e4 }
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment0 X( V* W) e. d ^
• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 _1 _5 F7 L& ]" ~) t
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) @+ {3 |0 g7 X/ m) a1 h! P
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
6 S' O' b" a* p: X* L• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
