Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
1 P+ x% t/ K+ Y# s• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
n$ N9 E+ A8 R• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 L4 K, |5 B! o9 T; K• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& n' _& V$ H8 L* i5 H8 ~8 v; u
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ o; t6 }" u& _6 k, Z3 F2 ^
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
' `; @ B8 b8 s' u( b D K• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
w1 B( v7 V8 ]* @• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% @3 y: G* l* v! W
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
( A9 h# B# o5 k" x0 w$ [# O/ C A• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

6 u- \( m" B8 F) B0 e: g" M• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; P, m' |. L @# L, I6 S8 D
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
# x3 Z* N ], a( {0 m• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
0 A- t- u4 l4 e• Good English writing and oral communication skills5 o6 O+ i O4 K
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 D$ T2 m; x, ?% ?% H& _
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# K8 \- r7 Y( e/ M! D4 j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately & b; q' O5 L* F. \8 r
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
- F* s, x" w% b) {8 u' l• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:; X/ T! S( q1 T: L/ z! `
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience " C" v/ m! u$ _- F I# j
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
6 N( F* o2 _* N2 ]9 e# I% U• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- U% v3 q9 s6 z2 l
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision- B4 J) Z& j% f! G
