! `( W5 t; V6 }Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! C4 y7 e+ ]% k! Y) u& A; }0 \
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 T0 N; Y% Y" V8 `2 X5 X0 }• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 m3 B/ o; _, Q4 R; v
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" M9 O8 R( s5 I, H; s
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings9 I l7 G2 ~+ Y+ s) N8 v6 C- ]1 X
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
% m* v$ T4 L3 r/ P9 H% c• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 s1 @+ f' `* U( F4 @
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events4 `& w9 `; V9 E* {9 Y9 \+ _
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& I' Q) C3 t) N0 U3 X5 `4 R+ f* q• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* k* k0 ~; j% r. w# c• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
; D3 r: F1 \( U• Maintain front counter service files0 t, m/ u; L- ^' t- {. k
• Perform general office duties as assigned. e* D6 ^1 ~0 \# ~

! I/ f& U) Z9 U w, t1 L, LKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:& V/ j- z8 d( m! N
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person @3 }; H3 H- i+ H9 a" J' Q
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
/ F0 z" y& z G% P" [• Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 c: P8 S, W7 L6 t: M& U# d' U2 b• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) V8 R2 A" q8 f• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# i: e I4 _8 {1 J# H0 s
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
% N: k! l' _2 n q! W4 Y• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds; M( P. P& B! \
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment/ m# m4 ~ R) f Z1 Q
• Knowledge of immigrant services

: ~* u" _1 h* j, A% X( ^• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- b: V' u9 S8 Y9 U) A• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; U( }( O9 J1 {* ?
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" `- z" U* u9 K' A( F& c
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
