Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
1 i2 Q' q+ W* W/ g: b) lMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
+ v& }8 R) Q( N2 [" ~0 H* v2 G•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
8 S4 R  o8 s2 {! [. Qo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
6 k% z& b; w: A2 K5 L+ |o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
4 c; K% ^% h* E3 ~' P2 m2 F4 k•        Track and report all warranty failures
* \, p. }% h( a) e: Qo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
! o* K" b6 D- V# lo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
* Q" Q: N' J) f" z" a+ M% Bo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
1 Q+ ~/ _( G7 }•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
- \5 |& r& N+ @( w. S5 w# {o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

8 ~8 P1 }" B! F. g7 \' ~Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
' D. @8 }1 A# D  H% L•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
; q0 K6 Q4 v& F8 J4 s•        Proficient in software use and writing.
9 X& U: Q; l- Y* u•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
