Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

( y" U# i& ~& @' NEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
# [' ~3 _/ @. u8 C8 Y0 ZMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
! |6 y0 e8 X0 b7 c& [/ w5 w•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' A; g+ x6 M: I" f: B3 A2 R•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
$ Q. I2 }, @' D) _•        Assist where needed in application questions.
2 m% ]0 q, b& R( U/ ?•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
8 U: W% h; g$ qo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
; D4 g9 w5 U) O% b6 O( E! e: u) K•        Track and report all warranty failures
& L5 `: u' k, Q- zo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
  |9 \0 p/ u6 b* \" f) r. F/ N5 so        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
. w2 q# n+ c! X3 t) e0 ]o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
: W) H; b3 P& _: a2 ro        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
5 `- O/ W; c+ @! t- g% C•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

) _# [5 n- c2 S% Q# q* P5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
% a6 g- N1 B: n' }$ @9 c•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
3 T$ p. R* U+ K7 E/ r* ^•        Proficient in software use and writing.
& s3 [+ m7 i) d" W! K•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
& T2 `$ b+ Y# |6 k4 L•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
