Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job; X; j* I( s! I! o
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
+ |: U, \( F4 i4 z7 ]' iMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1 I. r. D+ M3 c' G4 `•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
; G$ z2 M- V( q3 E' k. Z•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.5 m9 Y4 ~, R  P) J1 o
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems$ [4 h: e8 c( {9 t/ U
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release3 i6 k( {+ _$ @+ q/ M; K
•        Assist where needed in application questions.5 \' A* f$ h$ K# b) @1 W
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.$ c; Y+ d% e/ Q' V- X3 n# r
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
; z+ q1 E1 ~+ {1 h# Do        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed; K( k3 ]) f* {$ V/ T
•        Track and report all warranty failures
# t$ M) n! `/ Ro        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.2 N8 {/ ^' d/ k
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
- A( G# Q2 v% W7 p& l( o9 f•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.( J0 M  E9 `/ @& s  w
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
6 W8 _8 M" v) co        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.# W" C0 |) S* p& R3 D8 l8 j, ?
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
1 f& n! H; _% t8 j) h# fo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.: Y* {+ F; D/ _( U8 x1 ?
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.# u0 M0 I' e1 F" a
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
9 X7 {) K6 V, }•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
" v7 |  Z6 R+ m( ], I2 S* io        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
# o/ M( q9 ^2 h3 I' z; c* L8 a8 _List of Skills/Qualifications        7 X; h$ q, A0 E0 O' u0 f4 Z
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.4 [' p9 q: B1 d: B, O
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 5 x0 y. p5 G3 L; s
•        Proficient in software use and writing.) [7 `; _/ D7 O1 u$ E9 i
