Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
6 O9 K0 d+ x( X- ]; S0 _•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
, w* ~) G- }, Z$ B& N. O•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
6 E% s4 q0 s" Y) e/ A+ Xo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
3 W1 _- @0 J9 oo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
& y5 }. p/ j( j6 V. wo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
: s( Z# V) e5 `+ no        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
  n; t5 ]( M; o! m' A( m/ L; Y5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

, e  H0 K) ~* x; v2 X•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.
+ Z6 O/ t$ E  G7 S- m8 U•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
