Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011- e% E  }/ E# _6 n

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.- }+ G) u) M! \# B' R+ p
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities. U# e% m$ H. \4 p
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
* s0 x$ ?1 |7 }. u! B•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' V7 B" s6 z% P•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
: a: V' U8 ~' _% ^# do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release4 }* M. J, {6 j2 ]
•        Assist where needed in application questions.0 W, r' Z2 [4 f* V$ s
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
3 I% E! U" S' oo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
3 l/ ]1 g6 t, N; J5 A; Ho        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
# c' f) G% y9 \" S. @( g/ A) w•        Track and report all warranty failures7 j$ f, i7 ?3 Z5 W* V+ C6 K- J: C2 R
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
) @9 L3 [* O. `( j- ]0 ^( G" Bo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
& z) X! A& n0 R+ N•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.) P6 h& S: o. J: a! `. d( r) p
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports$ D/ z) O* Z2 a! q
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea./ Y2 Y5 y( _! c5 t6 O  Z
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
6 G: ]5 t. F1 x  Go        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
( G4 u. _2 ^: Co        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
& n% |# ~$ A, s! X0 }o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers" H# D! @4 k7 f$ N
List of Skills/Qualifications       
) L) K' n1 K$ w•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
, @$ D- M, j7 O/ F0 |( G5 M•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
1 Y) E* W" |* ^. Q•        Proficient in software use and writing.9 e8 H# [+ e8 ?6 [3 M9 ~4 R
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
