Scope and Purpose of Job4 F+ ?3 l$ C" L9 _
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
# q# z' C) W2 I) {  C( z, ?Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- T& q0 m& ?8 F7 W•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
1 }( D% v: [; D" ?7 x•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.6 ~- J/ O" a& p1 V
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems5 l: q# T! C) b# W& ]0 p, l9 H
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
+ V4 e0 N6 O! Q) W1 ?  ^•        Assist where needed in application questions.
: v% |, }. H3 j* B3 d•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
! ^8 P' y4 n7 u' h) \  @o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
% \5 @0 X- z0 do        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed" x5 D3 D& H8 V) h* f9 A
•        Track and report all warranty failures: [1 f0 O& z% `& {& r/ L
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.. j4 H8 c1 ]8 c( {' x  }0 K7 P
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.; d  h( y  I5 X  j2 y) y
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.- t: E' W1 t3 q; E9 @0 X% I
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports  k/ E5 j" [7 [& y
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea." r5 I4 G; b& V' ]% I, r; G
o        Assist in writing and new product specification3 _& d3 s. G, \( e1 h3 K' k
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
9 }9 r, P' B0 o5 R/ K& j$ Eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.+ P6 s/ I* X4 E8 A" Y, w$ a
•        Assist in Sales support & training.- S) O6 v3 g2 }, L
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers4 S, p- e6 H: F! W# r( _' ^, U
List of Skills/Qualifications        ) i& H! K& d% k  |
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.* P$ F! r' X, h) N1 G
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
$ Z7 v  g, N. K: [•        Proficient in software use and writing.
8 t% I6 {* E* `•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
