Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
- |9 u) z2 e, o; h1 UEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
4 J: C7 v& \+ i% i  V. \" ^Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( w5 L0 I6 U# H: D* {( H1 _•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
! T# W7 P6 t% @( p1 l" G+ r. V; v•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

) u+ `% l# m7 ?' j8 Ro        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
: [- S! d4 j4 c& }* N•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
  i5 F8 B4 G+ _+ A; n& p$ b6 G! Io        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
, q, F) U" Z5 u3 I# C  Z; CProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
! x8 ^6 `5 B+ @1 NList of Skills/Qualifications       
( n$ J0 s* ]4 u/ p: c•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
3 f, f. e. M* i- E- \; |•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
9 D1 T8 m# M2 r•        Ability to travel worldwide.
4 {8 ]: T" v6 h•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
