Scope and Purpose of Job4 \/ y2 s) X( `( d) m- N0 W/ h& @
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
* k! L$ S# Y$ a) C/ u! N% tMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
: X' B( P9 V. ^9 |' \$ p5 P• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
- X7 {5 K& f; k- P• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.; j, K$ A! O9 P8 ]6 N
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems6 U1 T' Y5 L" m
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release: K) ^# u+ p5 ~" I3 J$ k- A, l. @
• Assist where needed in application questions.: F& J' a+ k! I8 o0 ~: y8 P
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ |! w+ R- U" |8 @. b7 R: oo New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures7 K. L* d! N/ j2 n1 F
o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed5 |- g$ }/ s# A8 L' F, O8 \% Q
• Track and report all warranty failures5 A5 J2 n W6 w$ B! m! ?3 W
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
" m9 Y, ^6 ]7 a8 so Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
+ p: j& k, Z0 R8 }2 t• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
* W% b1 q+ w% zo Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports9 w Y7 B" k+ Y+ x$ d
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.3 q1 C8 @# P! O. A$ u
o Assist in writing and new product specification
( o6 \7 M7 s7 q5 ao Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.; T* [: |! ?3 l; D' g9 Y" a) ?
o Act as technical applications expert on development team.9 R4 L6 j6 b. J2 ] G( d% W# @
• Assist in Sales support & training.
# }! O& h# p( |7 d0 N/ Z, y• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)
% v& l' y% M( |' w. }/ @5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

5 N* ^% W* n. U( ~• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
