Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
+ r* K8 u; X/ O+ |& u+ l+ [Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
, G0 E( s. H! F" [+ IMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( a; p% m3 o( G+ \& R0 X0 D•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
/ Q0 _: W& r1 `5 E  ^o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
" x3 P( s0 `, M" r$ B, Ao        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
' P  v7 }+ h3 P+ @o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
' i. U% z3 `& s% q0 M  r* k/ x+ N" Ao        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
* ^+ C' U: m3 @; Fo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
. ~0 U* X/ Z* f5 Z; lo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
+ r, J, k" Q0 X5 W, M$ \•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

' t) r0 K; l, u5 O- ^* A1 \Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
& i: ^  L9 V; H- t. Q$ q- j6 w: ^( aProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
1 x2 z0 ~* E+ o  m, s5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
; O8 n2 t/ J9 u' E( X, f; n•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
/ M  |' w; b& Z% }- Z+ U, L2 b" M•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
