Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
/ i2 G- ~' ~, t; n) F$ {•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.0 D* @8 ]' X$ K; ]
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems5 ^! V6 k: K/ C4 X* H# W( s1 g. d) n
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
* T% H' e, d. K, e9 |) B•        Assist where needed in application questions.& n" g9 P/ s7 a4 ~9 H
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
+ b0 n0 U5 ?+ co        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
$ B5 ^* V" T# K. P# Fo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
. _" K; d/ X% W3 @/ j* r2 d. E/ h) a•        Track and report all warranty failures
. x8 o" ^, b5 n& u, qo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
% q+ d6 T) X; w& i3 @$ ~% yo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design." l* e/ D# J3 T
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
. Y# V5 Y$ t. a- l& Vo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports% H4 F& Z2 _4 P' B0 a
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.. X8 d' s( }3 ~' Q& [' G
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
8 `: R% M% o0 |6 I* M0 _6 V3 A% ho        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
) R8 o/ A+ s9 Z4 Q$ T1 M  @o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.4 s! ^$ x0 ]" _# t! ~
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
4 u4 [! |0 K/ N# f9 cProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        1 D( L, ^1 w! t0 G8 L6 `
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
& P# |6 T1 S/ ~6 zList of Skills/Qualifications       
+ c3 {8 }  O* e; \- V* }•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
* e' N: h! w' @8 c•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
6 _) y8 {, ]$ B- ~7 y; ^' s•        Proficient in software use and writing.& C3 y; L1 P0 }6 a  S( U0 l
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
# f, m, j4 }6 v3 p7 A•        Ability to travel worldwide.
