Scope and Purpose of Job
& w/ u4 r, y+ }+ pEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
9 J4 W+ y& V3 h6 c1 oMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
; Q9 \: ?, O' O8 z•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.9 l7 N' J, T' V$ q# F4 E0 C
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.8 t( r) _9 I8 L+ {4 I3 `' ]
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
& f5 A, R6 ]- ^o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
, ~$ o" J" _1 f, e: Q, p•        Assist where needed in application questions.
! |( m; f& _4 n/ Q* k8 d•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution." h3 [# N5 T! a" s% M2 g: E
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ K0 ?0 f: [$ W+ M( Z! U& H- wo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
" Y  f* S: T1 J•        Track and report all warranty failures, H  ?0 U$ Q/ y7 L& h: X
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
  m6 t" s9 Q) @& {' c% V) co        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.2 l1 ]' ]/ c" @5 j3 [
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development., a0 i7 {0 b' h
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports0 a6 e& n3 `6 R
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.# s1 N0 {( o+ E& W( G5 G
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
. y. Y4 q; }. I# p2 Ko        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.; S! e0 i3 @, G7 O7 L
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
' r4 I4 M- H2 z8 Y: X" \6 s& a# t! V•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& F; a) X! v) L  q•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

( D+ p  G5 U, e- z3 q" a" M4 T" z; kProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
3 V8 P' U! |' \8 E- o7 Z( H# B* C# C5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers' C% c/ k8 C$ f$ R- J
List of Skills/Qualifications        ; h( U. P/ C* ~2 O
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes./ y- l- {: y  W/ K; e
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software & H( v; T& k( p. n' `5 u! V6 F8 [/ m
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
! ~  C0 [$ ]3 q1 O•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
7 X7 v5 A5 Q8 q/ _9 l2 \•        Ability to travel worldwide.  s2 E: b% u$ F3 Y& ]# d
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.  U/ q# D2 z, g1 ]' O+ u, ~& q
