Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
1 S2 w8 j! Z4 S0 ^- K2 A/ lEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
* t; H) E+ }/ d, |/ Y  v, b* PMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* x2 F% v0 N  d+ a0 E•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.& m" x' u, K4 k! @% |
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
9 R4 o2 c1 l2 o& T& k* S% E•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems* @! k; T( h; R3 H2 j6 L
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
4 R' W' e9 y+ {3 n* n•        Assist where needed in application questions.! Z/ s' j8 {& ^: P7 G
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
8 _% v% o2 ^' m! s) Ro        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
3 q& r  N' M  V3 y" q( R  a- g0 no        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed) c: a; {" {2 I1 x, V  ], l
•        Track and report all warranty failures3 }' g) `; z! C
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
/ [0 U6 j  o+ j- T5 I3 m7 R5 vo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.  E& V( v" I9 k& L
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.  r# x: U! i& Z# j0 Z! A
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports* _$ |' X( Z, k' e) b. F3 Q
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
8 q; `7 h) E0 }# q- F0 Do        Assist in writing and new product specification
  T& c* w4 h$ i$ @o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.4 S6 ?) B7 G4 V+ w
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
8 q, C  ^5 E- L# M# l( [% v7 H5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
" O: ^# e' M8 J6 UList of Skills/Qualifications        % `1 E7 R5 n2 a  n- R
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes., c3 P$ W5 j5 O% v6 ~, D' Z3 ~
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
( k7 m. |) C( @+ \5 V•        Proficient in software use and writing.# }) Y  Z) q- L+ N0 r) o: k! N

•        Ability to travel worldwide.
