Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job( P) n( j1 O8 V4 |- C2 _( Y9 S
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
. V2 `/ O2 a# f6 zMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- i. [% f3 D. r4 f# G•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.  _" I& u4 F6 w9 ^8 m
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations./ ^! o/ A- U: a
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems( J4 |# _% P8 o7 v4 c
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
8 q1 O3 e; {; F9 k•        Assist where needed in application questions.7 l2 J  {" M- W& O
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
5 \) w6 W/ g7 p; ], O  p1 qo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures1 Q( r# b: S5 _/ [1 V, U0 t, D
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
! L' M# \3 b- ]1 d0 b" U! n•        Track and report all warranty failures6 J  u3 m0 ?# ~2 x: r/ b$ w
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
5 w/ p  Z4 O/ B  `5 ~3 o1 {* eo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.& e( [! m; n5 k* W! ^& U
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.) {) _5 l8 K0 b  t5 i0 }1 a, g
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
4 n& l% i& ~" i( n& V( Qo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
# R+ D+ d! d: S) c; No        Assist in writing and new product specification0 d$ C3 Z) a- i# ?1 z
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
7 X7 I! F6 z; g7 f* ~, ]+ wo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

: e( U. A/ q7 h8 aProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
2 T) q' }4 q( s6 r" y" O5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers. {* L' h/ H, \8 u
List of Skills/Qualifications        5 X; n$ J$ N( w9 u) e
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
- B# l6 J; }9 w: F•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software * m; ^9 R; {; j3 P3 c# f+ F9 L
•        Proficient in software use and writing.+ \$ `4 [6 V3 N' q' U
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.

•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.( D9 k) {* ~. }( H
