Scope and Purpose of Job
) ^- i" V5 i, Z. _Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.+ j; O* F1 X2 U* d0 |9 V
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities* E% w C0 D5 U1 i
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( C9 V/ H# t1 W5 W2 ~; v$ W, _# D• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.* F4 v1 j l9 P1 n( _% t3 V9 \) W5 z
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems* r1 l1 W. K0 Q8 k
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
: b, ?+ t* N+ H$ w V! x# v• Assist where needed in application questions.$ e# B" b: c2 g# D* `
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution./ Q5 M# S) V1 B
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
; E- k0 Y* [. s+ H! l# N. U0 @+ g* Do Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.4 n" m+ T! U+ v; q6 ~: [
o Assist in writing and new product specification0 r0 R7 _4 n4 ?- l0 w& y
o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
1 `7 T3 ~( [+ X. J4 no Act as technical applications expert on development team.

; ]5 C/ b6 W4 z• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools., q# e$ V2 K- t7 k! x- W$ K5 [; W1 {
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues. }* ?# q# A: R: y% c U! O4 _

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers- s C0 h# v! T W _2 m# a. r
List of Skills/Qualifications ! x6 G4 c$ }& C4 A1 E# A% f
• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

• Proficient in software use and writing.
