Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

# c0 {" M$ F6 g% |: m( a•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
" ]! I' A3 q- j$ [•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
  i1 P: X2 F1 N- s7 v3 {•        Assist where needed in application questions.
/ j8 }# K# z# r& A. q•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
& y4 X" F6 z+ X$ l7 X# E2 d( Q+ yo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
7 g( x, v# J# m% m2 _/ Po        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

& Q2 T  K' ]8 o9 S1 SProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
7 o+ ?; {  Q3 n" Q5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
0 K3 J* @; h; A7 U- ]: {•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
