Scope and Purpose of Job* C& _$ D" a9 Y/ ~5 Q) f' w% A
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.1 P/ g4 {( W. `. |; g
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities% P# r2 T" b5 E0 [. x, W+ c
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.5 m. n5 K; F, I' R
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
1 [5 F6 h9 ?7 i7 F7 t2 c; K•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems% J8 N1 Z/ N$ G2 U5 q1 P, R
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
# K# b0 ^9 \6 @6 s+ ?•        Assist where needed in application questions.
+ z9 O9 w6 g0 y, `•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.- q8 C8 Q( W) R0 _3 w, n2 N
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures* a+ a- O. z" `* v
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed4 l0 Q- q0 }2 W; Q# i
•        Track and report all warranty failures
- o  G, ^$ C+ r$ d  g) p' K9 so        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.( \1 E: ^; t! {5 e1 q: a/ t3 {" ^  O
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.. h: M0 o7 ^# D9 A9 n- K
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
+ b' R& f( L- d0 J' c9 jo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
7 G! X% }- g( l, Q$ s9 k, D- Jo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.& M& A5 e* g7 o5 H- z
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
) O# a" }# |5 [o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
9 d) ?+ u% q, z! \4 ro        Act as technical applications expert on development team.6 |/ ~( p* O- j) V
•        Assist in Sales support & training.1 \& J- o/ N9 h, X8 W
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

* X+ `* V4 ]( e+ h# Y5 w•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
