Scope and Purpose of Job9 D1 R6 R7 h+ u- T* V
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.. k! X( o% a- Q' G) i1 L* ~% k
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
( \' ^( R6 t/ N2 C4 `3 W• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
5 K! R) P- D6 p* s& f• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.; |. [6 c/ s7 {4 q' v5 R
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems4 R& k# R- u1 b: J; h( _1 l
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release/ Z/ _7 j9 p0 C3 {' V
• Assist where needed in application questions.
7 I9 L" R$ F$ e0 Q% Z8 l/ J8 ]• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
; H% G; b! i: m! To New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
7 b" N* M4 W! ^7 eo Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
* O# {$ g4 V; s: N• Track and report all warranty failures/ i% G7 V U- s! F4 w
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.; p7 M* u, z" s; E" L
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.% e7 l5 l- q7 ?$ y4 M9 m' k
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
: R; @ O- @! {0 Y( Bo Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
' @0 L6 u0 I3 B0 e, ^6 r$ Ko Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
! y" o. c1 g& Mo Assist in writing and new product specification
- `/ M0 r) [& x) }o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% r' Q! h2 y. ?" [1 _o Act as technical applications expert on development team.$ d% y, H, P; Y9 e3 Y: @* |# a
• Assist in Sales support & training.
$ x' l# q4 p& t/ u# k6 p5 Z, Q• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.# n& u" b" r. E V
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.# @ {9 c: J& f
