Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
4 X2 \/ h* X) }" \- nMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
% X5 }% A* m) r/ y3 _4 s& O* \$ l6 U/ A•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
- k" ?% T, C( a, k2 S4 I•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
! B+ i- W0 L+ b6 z3 n. b- do        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
5 r8 G/ Q. Z* co        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
) K) L8 T& N: R3 Xo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
* Q* s9 ?! ~" ^! H! c, V1 }•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
$ [- n9 p5 Z6 c5 L: ~( oo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

8 T4 F: g' G3 O  p/ oProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.

9 G, r( C* t- K, N, I2 J•        Ability to travel worldwide.
