Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
' R0 e" t4 b# |+ T, ^3 mMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 }& v; I/ y' S9 @' `•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
. u8 a2 D. K; r1 p) I6 k9 v! j•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
5 y  v& R# N( D, ^  J•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ T9 h6 n8 l4 o/ D1 D1 v. x4 U1 P+ bo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ [9 t$ O7 \" }3 ~: \" io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
4 g7 `4 X" P8 X' P•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
4 z5 }  c8 s1 F# b7 Ro        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
4 l5 r- H5 z$ c% B$ d- G1 o: U•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
/ P& y) Z% M- T4 e+ ho        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
6 f: g2 _5 K( f  e- f! Ko        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

) s7 v  t8 Y/ R7 J( Q. e•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
* a3 r3 Z8 o5 z5 dList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
# r9 A; [3 f8 k: l  ]•        Proficient in software use and writing.
. x: ^6 s! y- a9 S% |, h% ~$ f! v•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
