Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job: v# M1 i8 A8 i" Z* B
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.- c: A3 g3 d* y  M3 ^
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- v; a4 p: i8 z4 P•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
, _9 J& V+ u9 a( a•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' `4 p% g) S: i& Y, K) Q% F7 K•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems, S! n9 v( V; H- d# S- l9 x
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release9 }2 {1 w& J' G2 ?& E
•        Assist where needed in application questions.& e0 H5 p0 y1 j+ z+ ^" R- k
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.& j2 B6 H; F2 F5 F1 F
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ `8 d+ J5 x! K$ C" R; Io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed$ P  T. ]- ?$ f& W: l/ c
•        Track and report all warranty failures% q% _. b+ L8 H1 ^( b
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.. _9 L7 s5 U7 x0 b" d% m
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
* G, U, q3 s8 p8 j0 t•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development., Y0 U/ W  ~  @; F' r# {0 {+ n( Y. S
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
5 @  w4 q  D+ z+ N# ]0 Do        Assist in information gather for any new product idea., f+ h5 F1 x7 B- `
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
6 S" E, b! P. S/ Wo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

- x# d" G% O1 b" Y( A•        Assist in Sales support & training.
$ b3 `* F( z! R•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools., C7 e( X. U' w* T( b. q
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

List of Skills/Qualifications       
) X% p# k# `( o6 A, N•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
/ A) E1 H0 o5 z•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
  F! g7 l# T0 k4 e  n! ]•        Proficient in software use and writing.
* ^) {$ b; k. d' N9 f+ M•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.) P; E  \7 W, b# e- c
