Scope and Purpose of Job3 D# ?: f! m4 n2 L
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment., u; [$ i/ Z, x& ]
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities0 H+ r$ }% b; {7 k
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
, I8 {7 c8 ?9 f1 R7 a•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.0 \8 n- k4 U& K- `/ b; M
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems  u  g( C5 n, g: `0 P
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release; \( Y* k  W  U, V; [8 u$ O
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
) C: x6 |6 Y1 F0 B% N; c•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
* @6 x  ?8 J/ \! w1 v  j" o% {o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures0 f1 k- W% d- _
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
! I3 }4 Z6 H, w•        Track and report all warranty failures
! X( J9 T) K6 i) |: fo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
$ s- F- W$ J' U7 Ro        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.+ x9 {6 ^0 ?; x- T: g) c; t* @
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
, }& e5 A2 g- X  N: u3 so        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports- p' a# c. Z) {" W
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
9 y2 M% H5 ^8 Io        Assist in writing and new product specification; o9 C7 S3 S) o7 M
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
8 u+ r" u: x, ^/ E5 p/ to        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
0 s, t& o* M) j4 J# X4 c% B' V•        Assist in Sales support & training.3 }" G  o6 y& E
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
7 J# Q+ Y2 @4 E9 h8 L- Q" ~List of Skills/Qualifications       
* d7 z. u5 x# f•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.& r' }/ a# h: V% v' W$ _. `9 I
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
9 x0 M; A1 {9 r, t% g•        Proficient in software use and writing.
0 F9 n% V. T7 |/ b/ u•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.2 Y+ C- c9 b8 Z; ~. a9 z3 J5 k
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
