Scope and Purpose of Job
9 T  }, c. L$ Y. AEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.8 e, W" c: t* \. o2 ^
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities' S" G' Z- Z& ^6 j+ H2 s, E% C" y
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.1 n7 L% _: \3 D& _. h  ?* M
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.! r$ C- z9 V( J+ q9 M
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
. m0 g; l! o8 Z( a: Q1 So        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release. Q* G8 j: ^) x$ |' C- q
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
7 g  T6 I( m& M: K! k9 S$ j•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
* J: k  A* l  J4 L: }o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
. ]3 _# f( Y5 P  io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed6 ?9 [$ W) h1 ~! F. o- o7 W3 j
•        Track and report all warranty failures
5 l$ g7 c+ [8 _; r' O$ \o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.; w+ [* ^7 {) ^. s7 R
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design./ _' y  }. m. @
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
4 z8 P* ^0 `2 U* A, x% Z/ b0 uo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports& d6 ?" s# x0 c( c) D
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
& W! N# a2 M4 s8 Go        Assist in writing and new product specification, L4 Q) n* L' ?0 K
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.5 _( R, D. @5 \- [
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
: b4 [  {. h  Y7 l# y•        Assist in Sales support & training.
/ q+ k  i- T, l1 d; P4 b•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.0 l+ q& H/ |) H. |& k; C
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

* E* ]- Q/ v0 I( T1 t2 QProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        9 j( o6 M9 x% }9 H3 y5 P! V) |) l
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
! i# t! B/ L; p( N0 P" VList of Skills/Qualifications       
0 L+ w) I& S! {: J1 v( x•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.* e3 Q0 o! N' T4 |! u3 n
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 5 @; x, U2 q2 e! ~  q5 N
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
! y+ L6 I* o2 @, y•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
  m6 s0 z3 p2 p% S+ r•        Ability to travel worldwide.
5 j- m/ Q( J7 r( a5 ^, K7 C•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
