Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 h% N5 m5 r: T/ x# Z+ J; Q•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
/ a$ |2 x# m% v: J9 V1 X- `3 N•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
+ L' X5 g3 c" G" r. h8 t" H' ^o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
: [+ s- y3 M) G  k! qo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
7 _+ m' K) ^7 g9 f( [# s3 {, t  @! ^•        Track and report all warranty failures
6 A: Q" L; A: i" Z4 }o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
  z% h4 |9 o5 E6 B: v•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
2 R; e5 I+ N5 K! R5 Q: Ro        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
, \4 R3 e7 t* l) `" c" eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
6 V! l& l3 W% q8 L0 I/ ^8 P•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
. w3 O, t6 H" G1 A0 l; U5 w& f& _2 uProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
2 w0 k! Q+ h0 f0 M' K  M7 h5 |5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
" f5 E" Z/ F5 W4 uList of Skills/Qualifications       
' t; ^, m, \+ u1 l•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
1 M# F- t& \( S# ^•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
9 d; k, Q* I  P# E•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
4 Y3 k7 Z8 J% M•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
