Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011! w" T' Z% X! a% J% r

2 j9 m& W8 K# f2 G" `Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.  d& P/ q3 |' V# G& d
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities+ ^3 q8 h4 u; a$ B5 p
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
& u1 W  n% Y4 B( t" I•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
. K9 A- G! u0 c% B•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems% K0 \/ x' v) [$ [
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
$ Z3 V, l  L$ C1 S3 V+ l, {•        Assist where needed in application questions.
4 X. H& t  L. E5 [: ?6 Z•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.' X% z0 X5 R3 x, g9 h$ s
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures5 s$ ~) l! M8 X  l
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed4 s. C% y5 m) I
•        Track and report all warranty failures
8 M' g: K+ y( }* g7 L# No        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.6 e1 c% v2 {' h% u* L! E3 z) m
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
/ v  Q; @2 Z' d. e3 F" A3 N  E& A0 R•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
8 l- B1 S7 ^, F4 B- d/ p# ~( wo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
' w: U7 ?0 j( v* {* `. Uo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.& b& U& c3 o$ c% F- b
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
0 K6 A; y9 P6 b- do        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.1 o* f- G- |- o
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
& [9 m, P6 ^7 k- c/ a•        Assist in Sales support & training.3 N/ h( ^* O7 d
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.: [: z/ \$ E0 q5 P
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
( U* _* Z$ N1 S6 l* jList of Skills/Qualifications        ! a9 j1 l. m) d% X2 E7 [0 S. b
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
) ^/ f2 u+ [: ]! r•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
/ g; I; i% T( Q/ h1 Z: R•        Proficient in software use and writing.* G/ v& Z6 n( A/ G' n8 z0 Z
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.

•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.9 w: }0 p; N. l- ~
