Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011* f) z# C  ]8 R( d2 J  f0 V

" {4 V/ ]- J9 W! Y1 ]# oScope and Purpose of Job& g4 a2 J  g1 Q& X
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
3 B) h1 V$ E/ C! N' zMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
" ^0 {* q4 ?, U  s, _/ Y4 J•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
& {4 ^8 _8 E& Q•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
# V/ x$ `: C0 U2 [1 E/ ^•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
' H4 F3 O( \  ]) |" g, V. K: |o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release/ x9 t% a. n' P: s( }
•        Assist where needed in application questions.( |% Z) B9 |, e0 b
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
' p& G' \2 F3 N* J/ V7 jo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures, t/ p8 \) K6 I; s4 W! b( |
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed- c& Y9 a; I* E) l: U
•        Track and report all warranty failures
# u( c7 ?' W2 [6 n5 so        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
( ^6 g5 e  H0 x' to        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
) d8 _4 ]' H" Q) b•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.: z, C4 i: H0 n  o
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports  o' [* S% n- X2 n' P
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
* w* N1 Y; h1 j$ u) to        Assist in writing and new product specification
& C: d( w/ r% P: J* `' e! p5 fo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
5 U$ U" P$ z8 K$ Eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
! A# C8 i. O  f8 x0 ~1 Y•        Assist in Sales support & training.% J* Z0 c. s3 d" N: O
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.. H5 U% a) m# `: p0 I0 L2 B
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        3 S6 Y: ?' d, L
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
- S4 h; Q4 W" e0 _2 qList of Skills/Qualifications        # h+ S) m+ ?1 E
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.6 R  [  a  ]. J! e  A6 k
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 1 ?, y- N% ^7 i% o* P
•        Proficient in software use and writing.  L; G5 H) g! O  e3 y$ f2 l
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.' x) K" M2 t2 `# X, j" d
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
