Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; [; N+ Y* ?$ {8 P, bMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
2 z. T5 S( L; y( I# M3 j: W5 d1 c•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
% S7 Z. j. A9 h•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
- _, b6 ?$ w8 c, ~5 @1 `- {, }o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
" j& M8 @) p7 u$ y/ r) Xo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
+ d: k4 H( \: d* X  V+ D•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
' H$ a2 g6 H+ _4 L2 a) Uo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
( A- U# e- j0 h! E- h+ Q•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
. H. n; R) ^! i- @) Po        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
: X: T4 o: X" o- T8 oo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& z, L) o5 F2 C% f8 `9 F•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
1 s5 Y# m' o" J9 a: j3 I+ b4 Z•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
; |( z+ E2 l# y•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
