Scope and Purpose of Job
$ u1 G: Q1 T5 E0 y& V& OEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
% e" M; I- h: GMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release

9 d4 f0 Z. s  V; I3 @. R. v) _9 R9 A•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
$ P, b3 c. G* U0 V* Qo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
4 w; B. O/ f" I( l) n•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
4 h5 l+ ~' P* x& ~•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
+ H* P& }% R# l# l: {* fo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
1 B; J7 _% ?7 U5 P7 z) ~o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
. T1 l) g' l- v& v$ h6 W•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
* q& Z" w9 C; S  Oo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
: u0 [; D2 {4 k" p( OList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
3 L( e6 ^7 }$ L9 h9 w•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
% l" v/ \# w/ y# a•        Ability to travel worldwide.
' {+ O$ [+ n  C; G; D' r4 }& E; I/ Y•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
