Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job* ~: a5 R# w. J! |
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
# l/ K. D/ w: {! ?5 `) x; wMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
9 o5 ^# s( a* x4 R) w; u5 ?•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
/ d7 ~) L) K* {3 y( J•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.. D+ p  t5 ]- C' J
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems& U: w& _/ l5 Y3 P) Z" |
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
6 a! u; F- Z* _9 m) [•        Assist where needed in application questions.  D! P2 q' ?% k, \
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.- Y7 g: C' o" d" S
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
1 G; N. T6 c: U/ h6 m7 No        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed& g) z; A# b6 c/ B* @- F# K$ H
•        Track and report all warranty failures
" s% T4 u$ K$ {o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
1 m0 R2 P6 G) {' f9 ]" go        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
' q5 N$ Q* W# b- X•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
# C$ `1 q1 x* {2 C# Oo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
$ p& n. t; R* ?1 t/ x: A1 no        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.4 {2 I( a' G, i- w: p( m
o        Assist in writing and new product specification* L7 B/ g5 [9 E& k, t& \0 H! d
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
/ x3 A, _7 M& Eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
" O$ p4 c% `% ~( B3 H; _: W•        Assist in Sales support & training.) ]$ A, ~7 d" s" D
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.; C" ^( Y; A: B% |0 T, f
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software * z% m- y! a; V; B. \
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
