Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
: P4 ]7 u0 L: ]7 f) yo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
/ e+ |; M: `  s. po        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
; s5 @$ t/ p) k- Q; X2 A1 \o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
5 r' \. h- V6 k8 X* E5 Ho        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
4 q0 ^) ^2 O2 f  D( io        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
+ `- @9 R" g. e2 c  o•        Assist in Sales support & training.
9 Z( E$ ?2 T% q; d) d•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
  u$ {) d/ O( qProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
( D* l( p& x, j  E3 S  M  j+ \5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
9 Y: Q1 M/ ^/ d7 f8 o# u  P/ h* n•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
