Scope and Purpose of Job
& w/ u4 r, y+ }+ pEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
9 J4 W+ y& V3 h6 c1 oMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
; Q9 \: ?, O' O8 z•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
& f5 A, R6 ]- ^o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
, ~$ o" J" _1 f, e: Q, p•        Assist where needed in application questions.
! |( m; f& _4 n/ Q* k8 d•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ K0 ?0 f: [$ W+ M( Z! U& H- wo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
" Y  f* S: T1 J•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
  m6 t" s9 Q) @& {' c% V) co        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
. y. Y4 q; }. I# p2 Ko        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
' r4 I4 M- H2 z8 Y: X" \6 s& a# t! V•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& F; a) X! v) L  q•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
; d8 C6 A- |/ O" io        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

3 V8 P' U! |' \8 E- o7 Z( H# B* C# C5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
! ~  C0 [$ ]3 q1 O•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
7 X7 v5 A5 Q8 q/ _9 l2 \•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
