Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.6 ^1 a* X6 ]8 t
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities7 U0 N4 o' h! u# N
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues." B; ~6 N8 S2 S1 r5 \. E: o& {0 e) ~" ]
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
- z6 c9 O% u$ T; ^• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
/ s) s: B8 O; Y; N! A& k- lo Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
5 y; t- N# y7 |+ l( h/ @$ _: D• Assist where needed in application questions.
! q) i8 x6 s w8 j• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution. X8 `3 V0 Q& D M
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures

• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
# Z+ F' M, j- e" co Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports- o- Q, L* E h
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.+ |. S# e# l+ S0 T4 G# W! h+ L
o Assist in writing and new product specification b0 E, _( S, ?+ N7 x: E* ?3 \# ^
o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.8 R0 D7 P0 G6 X1 }/ C1 Z+ {' X

• Assist in Sales support & training.& ^, ~4 ~$ v% h3 I
• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.9 A4 N' I( M" R6 \; ^7 e
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

• Background knowledge of dispensers and software
