Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
' B& V) O$ h$ D) Y6 R6 JMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 I! k: B2 q" A) x9 ^•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
% q% h3 Z4 h' ]' j3 M' G1 q•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
3 o( E: @& {' do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
8 t/ y& \6 w$ n1 v1 m( [' H•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
9 ^+ X& S. w* I6 v' Mo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
" `, T: J1 F6 Y9 po        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
( ^3 W, l$ X! Ko        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
+ @8 p" x$ ^  k" I, w, h# ^o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
/ h# `0 g. ]1 F! k3 k9 J& Y0 _: |6 |o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
, J& }0 Z5 w: T/ no        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
0 X+ g# d. A0 T$ v5 b* h+ ]•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
8 `3 E# n0 R' t1 j" ~) ~3 {* VList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
, C  ~) d+ i  ]" I; _6 C•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
3 ]6 k$ s' `. p! t) w" X! R2 W0 C8 c•        Ability to travel worldwide.
7 |/ K& s# Q6 _; H3 U•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
