Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

9 q4 b( `7 |+ K•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
3 o' B/ Y* r' e9 Z•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
( V$ r7 X  r8 L' Q% Z6 D) C) v6 fo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
- G2 z- }; m4 ro        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
, A4 b9 k; H% e: {" G: T•        Track and report all warranty failures
, s$ a9 v. |# C* @o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
5 [; ~! W# @; j. ]: l. x( a•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
7 W/ `2 T  z: n( }) Qo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
$ O4 Z3 X: U# `o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

/ B; m1 A3 n3 P1 a  cProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
6 e7 p; r  z+ V5 ^9 j6 D  k! u3 S•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
) l2 Y' z! J& @0 s•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
