Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
* v* {3 K7 Z5 w& q: j  T* zMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
) c8 \8 H" R" `) Z! p4 V•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( b8 a& Y8 i0 Z7 g2 _$ Q/ F•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
; V% R' p' E4 M! o: v' s* F  t•        Assist where needed in application questions.
, n" O& o7 O6 M& c( W0 ^•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
: i1 p! ~; ~4 ^) L: yo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
) f7 r" O) w6 w" w. Mo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
& p  w# f/ H$ |# B9 so        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
' r" L, R/ |# V/ G6 a! @5 X8 L; io        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
4 m- x" A6 r0 @9 D# z- to        Assist in writing and new product specification
1 `8 Y6 l7 D: P5 Y3 }# V. To        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
4 n( r9 K5 v2 y& I( D: A, q9 p•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
0 @! ^1 I1 ^) {& Q' u/ p* ]o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

$ A& i. z5 S# ?Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
9 X: }! d& y. c3 J& V2 \4 VProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
9 z* Z5 ?5 ~& rList of Skills/Qualifications       
' j/ m9 S$ |: I+ i  j•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
  ]! ~5 O  B) a9 k3 W% f•        Proficient in software use and writing.
9 H$ ]3 m) @2 ]0 H•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
* e( g0 d! X6 E* H•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
