Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
& R6 I9 D- m) N6 Z6 R% Z' v* qEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
) ^1 r* G7 |( P3 M9 O3 yMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
% u* c9 v1 j- d2 `7 q•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
" A( N% Q. j1 }4 S! R•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
3 C+ N4 W# [1 j$ Z  do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
. O( `  q, @, Z2 V  a! X•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
% X- n+ h6 Q2 l# f6 K4 Vo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ M% g5 y" R+ W" }2 w* io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
9 w& R2 V2 \- }; D) \o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
  y. H$ a- _1 Q•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
+ v) o  a+ ?' n6 Y, d•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
) |; @. B: w: Y1 A3 @. n, p/ t2 WList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
