Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
" e2 N  M" W! kEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.+ p& w: y4 [9 Z5 y5 I& _
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
! U5 ]1 e1 U1 p/ ~; w$ r: `•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.' G2 [; [3 K7 M. g- x' L
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.# G8 z6 s) K; r
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems# g: W. O2 p0 n  d9 A$ r8 Q
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
+ ?5 S# g9 n5 R3 M•        Assist where needed in application questions.
8 e# f. z: T9 B•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ q; N6 f: Z6 qo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
; r( Z: L, A$ V. d6 l1 _+ Oo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed0 A7 M' T8 i1 w- X9 Q+ o0 F& |
•        Track and report all warranty failures& {" m. H4 R2 ]( u6 @4 y/ D
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
$ T; G. q1 ?$ T; O$ z# E* W0 Co        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.1 w8 q. Y9 \) `9 _( x# f
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
! e% M5 U  H* y& h- oo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports, B1 p$ `7 I1 H' Z3 p
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.% U" }' \. l, j- Z; \$ _
o        Assist in writing and new product specification" M  `# b! B% d6 Z- e% v$ v9 e
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
& Z4 H( P) w2 g  Do        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
( Z: T% J' |9 {•        Assist in Sales support & training.
6 o+ P: J; P( \  ~+ Y•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
6 Y2 p8 }; X9 V* @( Do        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
4 m! q  S% C0 g2 K  O5 n5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers) Y3 U" v' ^" T1 k, i# F# y" v5 r
List of Skills/Qualifications       
; X: _8 Y1 F! o  S, R9 w( l•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.5 S8 M( Z9 \( z8 K1 U& o
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software $ c% B8 O9 s( Q& V8 c3 {! i! ?
•        Proficient in software use and writing.' ]) Q  j6 U: m& _5 l! Z1 @
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
