Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

; ]" Y6 i7 l; d  i2 s: |" M7 r2 L( FEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
. G+ {+ W& I. e; e& xMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
" E% I' E- t& E# n. g- z7 H- A- s•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
- @" t, e6 y3 _' b9 P•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
) B) @5 B0 u1 u* K& W8 m6 }& x•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
: i6 U0 P  I* Ro        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
: G% U( F5 i' d1 u* X•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
5 A; |" W. @3 X, Z- s+ Lo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
& C4 y1 h! H7 n+ _& po        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
8 d! v# L+ }, C" g' r0 Z7 j& do        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
" _9 f" H8 H+ D* K+ U+ ]% S1 q3 io        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
' N: Z/ h0 p' O" l2 xo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
) u% H9 G6 K' T/ Y•        Assist in Sales support & training.
( _* J6 g  z, a•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
% Q4 C3 J/ C% C•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
2 K& @* [& H' I/ r& q6 |$ n•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
" d5 M: ~' y+ X  E. ?2 B! H•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
