Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; B9 `+ r$ w7 |$ WMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  e# q7 F0 _6 V1 N7 V•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.3 [7 @8 |5 T' e4 Z' X# ?
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.- N; j2 h: }: Y
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems, x0 E. v6 E3 L) t6 F1 R  D
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
, Z; u9 ]3 a0 }' J/ c) i% e•        Assist where needed in application questions.+ \5 r- I* A9 U9 Y) D  K+ W
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
' n& w/ p9 o# i7 @  q# D% |o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures! I! `) E! y5 {- z1 ?9 U
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed( T" ]! k1 J1 F8 v2 j& C
•        Track and report all warranty failures
+ {) d- t; h# t6 C, y# R( z- x, `9 w' Co        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
: H9 v  S" b& j' {, n- uo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" w9 c* n' w* H* D5 I/ C•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.) V/ P1 b7 Y- n6 z3 Q3 a
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
" f0 _" b( h  k7 ^& ~, yo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.7 a8 q# x$ c4 \9 G
o        Assist in writing and new product specification( J" j' |% e7 a2 N4 s
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions." L' U2 |* s7 @, G$ v* J* d& L
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.4 ]7 h3 k7 X/ g/ j
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
9 C4 \  M5 l. m9 ~•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
4 m, n0 u, s; K5 r4 q% qList of Skills/Qualifications       
" J$ `$ W4 R! x: K% R•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
) S$ m) o8 V- p( b•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software ( q0 D) j; E. {* V! r1 z& \# k
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
. N& M( B+ }- W- |/ s8 F•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.9 b" H* |& {' n1 ?7 e
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
