Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
1 s) V& j. \( i8 vMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' A0 F: Q! D& S7 i, I0 [1 @•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
, l9 j8 c/ r+ s' q" ?7 x8 R•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
- x7 a. D4 B8 do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
+ v  i0 t1 P. n•        Assist where needed in application questions.
$ T& w3 H/ m9 J1 t4 O* q+ M. y•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
- f. a$ U& H; R+ w6 Z# zo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
) ~4 I( ?( g0 to        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
% f* V& w  T" |o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

1 b! O# q. z* k7 H: `# R8 J5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
8 a9 b: R' N: [9 H' b. {•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
$ a, K( y. `6 C: {3 d% T2 x& l( p•        Proficient in software use and writing.
' C4 z. J/ B# K$ ?4 m•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
