Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

4 i' k& P( k, o4 P* ?Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
8 F7 k8 B1 i+ l; sMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
# O& z" a2 |+ Q' c; u% P•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
- E! m- E# i& z4 @2 P- no        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
* F6 ^$ W* b( v•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
8 G4 K$ F& R, w) _" P•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
7 p1 w* S+ u% S/ s: do        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
; G" X/ Z& a1 ^: Ro        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
: c' p2 u8 _& p, Z  L& E•        Assist in Sales support & training.
7 b0 U5 A6 b1 Q; J$ n; h•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
7 J9 j! E$ U! U6 X- J$ D: }- Ao        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
/ m$ B6 @+ t0 i; l6 c" {9 ~5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
