Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; B) t" P# {  b5 E0 M; JMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
% T( j3 S/ l6 K: R, j5 @0 r1 j•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
) g5 Q* G* ?; G  b•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
6 L3 Y1 e4 x# r) m•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
0 c3 {* x! P+ c" ro        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
' s8 r2 a1 n) l3 o. _1 No        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
5 R* J1 d+ i3 K2 l•        Track and report all warranty failures
" y- @& P( d1 r( u9 E3 q% _o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
6 Y* A6 ?' r  N: {o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
8 H  z7 Y7 q. N) f1 f•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
! _) [1 A# i1 {1 F7 o# po        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
9 @: E) m+ v8 Jo        Assist in writing and new product specification
, V. K4 n% a9 S7 r3 e, w$ N2 y  W  a+ io        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
7 H. P- k2 |; o& L( d+ ]o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
# m8 F% M: I" G: _) q•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
# G1 L4 O1 C2 E5 [3 V$ S. Y" S) |o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

4 g( b2 g0 K( }( `. T1 VProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
, j9 E" ~" {- ]1 k$ N5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
0 s# W# N, @8 s! c* J, kList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
+ K  x: l" L3 h. w/ r+ }•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
4 Y( W6 }$ @5 Q4 `0 C•        Proficient in software use and writing.
8 p  M) D. M9 q7 W" n: Q•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
) K; h  A( u2 |7 R3 f•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
