Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment./ d! d% N8 l3 l' Z$ C* I
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities( M- D% s2 O6 I6 @# B, ~
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.0 e% ~! U6 F& y' D# t1 E
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.. j9 w7 G; ^# t/ V. ]- m
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems0 s* i; d M3 W% ]
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release7 v' Q% B& q5 L( N) \
• Assist where needed in application questions.
! s r8 |/ f6 f$ F4 x• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
! ]9 n, T9 ^" k1 Q$ i" Ho New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
; A R/ {- c1 Z- _5 |o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed7 y5 U5 H" r7 S# k) W7 F
• Track and report all warranty failures

o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" {& B' _0 A; |# B; a9 v+ F) U c• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.# z; U" r f5 z3 H: U5 i( t; c
o Assist in writing and new product specification
# P3 a$ M5 M9 |1 ]& go Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.
