Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
6 n% G9 k3 ^7 M4 BEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

) S$ e) A/ h9 W8 q•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

8 T4 i1 j: \) O4 e# t  Fo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
5 x$ l& ~- G+ V+ Z•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
5 V9 J: {6 t$ D/ yo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
9 b, N% m, u! `6 ]) y$ O( wo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
% f( J7 `) e- f! j; do        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
9 Y' T/ W9 _/ Z% b6 R; \! po        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
: n$ l0 U/ `- Z6 a3 U  ^' p3 Lo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
" ^. @9 m. e5 |% I7 J( b•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

$ ?3 T3 f, R5 c. i+ X5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
, b1 c$ L$ m' O; z& W•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
