Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
" T" \; q. f9 E0 }Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
% i: N3 W1 u1 [& _1 v2 ^Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
, M: [' ^+ ~$ j" M$ i•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
8 G2 `5 l( u8 L+ p•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
* T1 Q. t; [7 io        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
( `- Y/ J* Y/ r- o# B•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
# E, x$ D/ {/ @+ B5 v$ T5 B0 P; X: To        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
4 ]- R# }/ E7 z1 Eo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
6 y+ J8 m" i2 v/ Yo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
" \0 r- N# R( G& P9 G6 h( h- t$ qo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
3 t) O5 M; V8 U2 g) o) x8 i% N6 @. mo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' @# ?* L! v; Z& S$ D0 F4 @•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
8 V% d( _; t; f, e' [o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
" ?% B* b- t: h6 T2 u# q( N•        Proficient in software use and writing.
% v' w9 A/ \  X) _$ N•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
