Scope and Purpose of Job- M+ d1 \5 o; P& p9 k6 W
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
, c% v$ B2 S# w+ HMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
7 D ^$ ]* ^7 d3 c2 ]' k7 g• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.7 S3 m' F% Y3 f! A1 Y3 Y
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.* z0 X( `8 z6 ]2 C
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems% R& F$ R. \/ f' H* U
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
) `7 W0 Z9 t/ u# w• Assist where needed in application questions.! P; h4 Y1 E1 j9 H) l! U; \
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

• Track and report all warranty failures

o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
8 z+ G9 |- `; }- {5 u: G4 u• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
