Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

6 Q0 ~: s$ r& q# \1 a- dScope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
5 X! u4 c( j$ O( o- g+ ^1 P( CMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
9 ~4 u9 l% F$ R, r" K: a•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
. r3 _2 D, S8 H9 {% ~5 @( |9 }% p6 j  G•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
( w% z: f; [. T$ e) Y•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
: O6 Z" A* _# _/ t& T•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
5 ~6 Q4 J8 S* E* i1 V•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
/ @0 p: G) m$ R$ t# fo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
- `! Y- q; {( w4 |5 G0 S! Do        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

2 e% O8 ~2 W, V- N8 j# L•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
6 d6 v1 Z: Q( Oo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
