Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; s$ n/ K' j% _' n! uMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
0 `. H( ?) S/ ~  e( a& J. p4 t•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
7 @3 I# R6 G' t$ \4 Z. n! }% Q•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ G( m* o+ l. j) S, Ao        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
9 ]- _: S- m9 a0 F$ @" Po        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
9 @5 U: ~5 N5 F' {: T, Uo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
' W, L( `+ J+ I6 o( G•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
, d7 V. V  p5 vo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
" r% E7 J3 c0 B( P2 g" Xo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
" f9 @1 \! H0 E6 V  z•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& \; X% E! U8 u( Q6 P. g•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
. k+ {$ J1 t; g5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
' Q5 R& R' S2 I6 }6 U2 Z+ HList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
! T$ s. f4 Y+ ]•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
+ ^' }* [2 Y4 U1 m9 w# P•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
