Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
8 B% n$ A, }, `8 h2 H  IMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
* ?/ S$ U/ n( k( m% v•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
8 I" S8 m4 m0 O8 _o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
9 Y, b7 ?5 K8 t8 H4 Q6 }3 a3 R! m•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
- y& z# l' t$ S+ i' M6 z•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
" N, J5 g" @; `, L) R* \: Xo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
1 N2 Y+ Y4 |5 W+ |3 Y& Y•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
3 p8 t. u$ G2 S4 J3 Go        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
- z) {& K% v6 x9 Uo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
. {# R, e% P9 L% z- H3 no        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
* a# [" ^( f( I; H& j- f•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
, }; ?8 B: X7 Q; H$ T3 go        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

/ S+ `! x1 Z+ q2 a5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
$ K  j$ O9 i- F9 e7 Y  @6 U+ LList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
8 I7 r4 N, E$ H/ z& F' G3 X, Y7 u•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
4 ^9 Q/ j" r, t) [7 ]' ]•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
