Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; e' }, n0 T3 ~: WMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  F- `0 y' }: K6 v$ \; _•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
; p2 l' y# M1 \( Q* `8 P2 b1 Q•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
  j8 D8 g  A, i& z, Z/ E3 X; G•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
  d' L8 ^5 |- R* }# e! bo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
& t2 D& w: T8 Lo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
6 N& m' B4 y( Z  Y8 N•        Track and report all warranty failures
. a: L# l# ~- g2 H4 a5 no        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
- b0 T6 i6 p" [5 Ho        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
& r! i4 z+ I5 d5 u  A•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
- i& x: \9 W' C: U" I0 Io        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
. J$ f) b, a) l0 ^1 j8 j' ^  P2 g* G/ ~o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
+ ]- W2 C- S2 {+ T& I, Uo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
" b! K/ y9 A; H" a- c) {6 to        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
1 ?0 D% N& @3 o0 _% b# C•        Assist in Sales support & training.
+ P% i" N1 ?* V, f9 n5 d, F9 |•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
* T- V' a1 t' P% Q8 U+ x6 wo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

1 w5 `9 U9 Q/ b# V# n•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
