Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 20117 f% ~+ k9 s+ t

# A- E" T: I9 ]6 _6 s* ]6 k, k  q' K$ mScope and Purpose of Job
/ V. H5 X& c( n1 bEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.6 S; o# e6 y$ q8 Z
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
( Q8 }- P# b# n' ?: b•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.3 m* X. G' o2 L, ]4 G
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
/ _- ], G: Y% c* `6 Q- J•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
( N4 E( J  B9 Po        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
) K: R9 D# |0 ?& s* z7 ?4 G  Q•        Assist where needed in application questions./ X, \  c  W6 e  n+ e: m
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
7 J! i8 |7 }6 F% F, Ho        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
0 Q* \/ f* S& d3 @! ]! Z; s/ p1 Q2 `" y& io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed& {" |6 \7 W/ M
•        Track and report all warranty failures3 v) n3 s8 l2 J: \2 I9 C
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
7 P# k* S+ L+ O- _2 V2 Io        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
( Q3 p4 y- F3 }. m•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
4 c/ `! N& W3 e: V2 s/ vo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports7 z* D* G! c& n$ P+ w
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
# d+ ~, C. y" J5 B1 P7 b7 ao        Assist in writing and new product specification3 M) o' m+ S; Q6 ]' q! B: F+ [% E
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.) w; x, k4 X  K" c# v
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
; P) ?9 `" X; o9 n6 {6 a6 G  o•        Assist in Sales support & training.
: L; N- I5 v/ f& F5 W•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.! `4 V- H, F) [# n
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues./ L/ m& h: F/ w+ f$ g1 r9 [9 D

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers( g2 C7 P; h) d+ ?4 H2 ~
List of Skills/Qualifications       
# k3 Q# X, F. P•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
8 B9 Z1 X6 A( d% c9 _•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software # d% o4 b9 Q! `1 I5 i
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
5 X8 p( E' p; h) s, l. X$ r•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.+ o+ u* v3 e! J
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
) t# b/ [3 z4 Z1 h•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly./ _! N  d! m, W7 }2 G; `. J& I
        & o( y+ }: A6 ]8 ]
