Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job( t+ z0 n2 h, k0 n
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.0 k1 o# [$ h6 u
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities! y3 c. j; G" ^5 m6 F( T
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
3 D' c. }$ B9 c•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations., T; x, [* m) ~! E+ C" {
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems4 S6 _$ t! Y- y' n6 U  F  p' `
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
0 K2 E$ m# S3 z- X' B( }- n, ~2 ^•        Assist where needed in application questions.: R# T* T8 F. H% X" {! X
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
6 @6 P% Q" R6 ~. L+ x' d4 J9 Co        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures  l8 z5 J" ?1 i$ V" `* p
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed1 J/ q. \$ P' `  I* a1 D( c
•        Track and report all warranty failures3 z5 p1 I" L2 a. a3 R, L
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.6 \6 A' y9 M% u; J6 c
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.8 b  ^/ f2 O* y1 E! f
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.5 I) G. A/ n; |* m
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports6 B4 e/ K: p7 x. I  M% w
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.9 t3 i# Q+ e  {) L6 o
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
. }9 C6 z: ~" R% [9 w5 W* L  to        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

•        Assist in Sales support & training.: {# O( }5 W5 P( `3 V1 ~
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
) N; Y: _1 N. a) Z" p- IList of Skills/Qualifications       
1 i1 o+ j  o7 {) X  N8 O) j•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
, a& `8 E$ |- ~3 K- \) w! N) K! G•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software & h3 {$ m5 h6 }6 W; ~
•        Proficient in software use and writing.7 o* Y& ?9 h! T5 v- c
