Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 20115 m& k: H) B; w+ J! P6 ]& U

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
' l" k$ p9 s  N" }Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities4 M' {5 i" m" y
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
9 @9 m% e' x) c, t; t•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
: K, M% d0 \2 x3 t* n1 h, j•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems9 L+ {$ J* r0 A" w6 n0 h
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release- {5 W% n  s; H' h) `* t$ ~
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
4 u5 m2 I9 o( a! _3 u& P•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
: l& ]8 Q$ D  ?o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures

•        Track and report all warranty failures; M% M4 j9 u! E9 b7 K' |  d& i
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
+ {0 ~# f" B. O7 q' X) y; r7 Lo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.4 ?6 ~6 u) j' n3 N% j
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.0 B. G5 w2 o- J. I6 g
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports8 D0 ~& _$ l) J  z9 l; n
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
+ p$ f( ~* J% l# s) r  G; q1 Wo        Assist in writing and new product specification1 V& v6 W0 y  T; C/ G9 t
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.. e+ e% O1 T3 x; n& D, b
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.8 U7 c% n* @+ k. B7 _- {
•        Assist in Sales support & training.3 E& s0 r1 k4 J2 z
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.
