Scope and Purpose of Job6 p9 V+ @: q! ?- A
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.& ~/ s6 P4 B( v
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities' k1 }9 L: f; ^
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
1 e1 |2 m6 s p& p1 ~: E8 d• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.; T$ x* J8 T# h0 }) o& z& j
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
* @: R* z: v& O! j% R/ N/ ~( No Test all new patch versions of software prior to release4 D+ }! B' A6 r
• Assist where needed in application questions.
) n- P4 L! \: E/ {& E# Y• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
4 F# ? ]! j' z! }# Ao New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
+ x5 H) Q- Q' E7 [3 Co Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
8 c1 {; a K) z• Track and report all warranty failures
) R0 s. o" H! E/ T5 H& qo Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.3 y: E; M. p2 N' `
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
4 z2 H* @, p; f2 a• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
" S; H3 T1 Z+ l4 p& io Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

o Assist in writing and new product specification
7 c; A- E* g. V0 xo Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
! l. ]' R. U0 k q0 ?, v% Ro Act as technical applications expert on development team.

• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.+ x. s# G& J4 V
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers$ e+ j7 N R% W6 E) J3 ]' }
List of Skills/Qualifications
8 s! ^2 ^% |$ @1 b' ?• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
