Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

# n- c- f" y( D' Y, X( }* C: U3 J•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
& z7 }" z/ i/ ]5 v$ H" R6 Q1 O% E•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
8 H, h! i; _* F•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
1 s: Y2 b/ `- ^# n5 s* To        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
$ r1 O( l4 r7 U4 K•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
$ V5 {" H3 ]0 N0 T) o) u# }+ v" Vo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
! @4 G3 t9 X9 R8 Jo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
  j& o6 s% @! E0 M+ [# i/ ?1 n# f7 v3 G•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
) Z, T8 ]' _0 J3 Mo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
$ l! m* [* z, e$ ]+ `- Q4 z! Fo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% V7 R# |) O. l7 V/ K6 jo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
; ~& `3 G5 [) h2 q. n% g9 v3 s•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& V. T* K, o9 p" Q% v9 a5 A! Y' _•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5 u, C7 h, `6 P- e5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
$ W, E* V& w; r5 C, f3 G, f•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
8 [! B1 {+ V* P' b3 c•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
* e# X/ c# G' k# u' E•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
