Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.. s/ c  h- i8 [5 u
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
6 a" H; P/ a) R9 `$ e7 L4 z! \•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.5 H! G/ P6 c" V" f1 A( Q
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
# a7 G+ P4 r, n0 V( e•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
9 l+ K: ^+ J  s5 x! lo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
3 w! x) v5 _8 M. G1 Y% c7 x•        Assist where needed in application questions.
5 _/ ^! |0 O( l9 Z& I•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.7 w; l- S$ C7 g* U9 f2 d
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
( l* r7 H5 q7 B: y1 Y9 r$ ?o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed: d$ \& _! x6 i  H
•        Track and report all warranty failures  [: }! f$ x2 B2 V, h
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
0 A0 h0 }1 T& L! r- H% xo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.0 ~+ b" N6 t6 d& U
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
7 _8 A% b  r( f. [( G) C7 [o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports6 K3 Y+ `4 K, p+ U: G. H
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
: F) W2 ^* ]1 [3 J: }" f8 U0 O* _o        Assist in writing and new product specification
) Q3 V) [5 L7 O! |% d  vo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.5 g1 Z) ^8 ^: A0 g  G/ t
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
! a% b4 J9 o. w3 `; {) ~, F•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' M- l; \  K! B•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
! q9 N3 j# j# |- k9 r5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
, s* _8 C1 f# |4 m1 N. n1 r3 c$ aList of Skills/Qualifications       
) y: ]3 ?- T# J! g•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
2 u( e( B4 c! E6 r•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
8 u- b4 Z- a* K9 }' k. D•        Proficient in software use and writing.
, M7 q3 k/ u/ H& ?; k•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.9 Z+ n2 `  a+ \5 V3 D* T* F" I
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
