Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

4 F6 T/ U, B$ X  \Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
' L" S: M$ u0 i5 M, ?) HMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
6 D" v, L$ l: l1 V5 A•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
6 K1 S9 g2 j- \  vo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
1 a# b9 j& Z3 k4 q0 ?o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
: S: h+ Q  p# J5 r•        Track and report all warranty failures
0 U" Z; t! ~& C3 A0 o& wo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
: I5 g4 d; ^- x+ m+ j9 D' @o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
. O2 v' ]& G+ H: B& bo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
' \- ]2 @: N9 d. x8 f. _o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
" `9 ]0 }; ]7 to        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
  R) k/ e( S4 @•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
1 h$ N, p. ~" ]% c9 H  @$ V+ l1 Q# n! so        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

( n3 K6 B# y; ?2 T: |5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
9 o/ m$ m2 _0 b& z5 B2 m* gList of Skills/Qualifications       
4 A+ g: @, R3 ~3 E•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
- g+ j6 Z1 W4 {8 b& P•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
5 c: Y; H0 _% K" Z8 E: V5 p•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
