Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

' R8 I( r$ U! W3 U•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
) d& `' z# j# \% _) B, p•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
. s) i4 @# c" @& e$ Yo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
) @5 p* T0 d  v•        Assist where needed in application questions.
4 ]/ |. b5 X0 u: B+ y- `% A•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
0 n6 S& T5 w$ t  h+ Xo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
; P- S& l4 i. L$ z0 F# t6 Z•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
2 B- P( c3 i$ Y% |+ Po        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
) X' Z9 d3 g( }1 e•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
* ?9 w. n/ \5 g" `5 H% ~o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
5 |. |, }6 x- |9 P) _: {/ j& To        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
+ h) i0 p! ^6 l0 ao        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
. [  Z7 H" V+ X6 ^o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

: k9 `( D) w1 d1 q0 @5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
% Q* j. \1 X/ u8 a( a6 T•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
. }" ?7 \. g0 s9 A9 x•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
1 V7 e6 D7 Z/ E+ }•        Proficient in software use and writing.
