Scope and Purpose of Job
4 t7 W g5 @0 a; w: x' O% I& mEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.% G# T! W5 J3 v& W" I
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities& z K' v3 K i3 ]! c e$ i
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.; r6 A* {7 O/ ]* y
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
/ R- T1 J. s- g& _/ |• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
c2 q' |& |1 v0 ]0 y Eo Test all new patch versions of software prior to release0 X2 c; u! o$ }% c# e
• Assist where needed in application questions.
" m7 P8 K; S% S9 L! H! U; d# o4 V6 q• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed& g0 e' y1 l* L8 B# m/ @) J
• Track and report all warranty failures- |/ a6 M' R0 @ @
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.; q4 A& S/ e# P
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" ?3 M" e' K# I) `7 h: d) O9 f Z• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
+ J6 c$ ]2 U$ s" h! q& So Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
0 x Q6 w( d/ U* D/ io Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
+ E( A# o- [) S$ N) a eo Assist in writing and new product specification6 }! T# h4 k9 a- c, \' G
o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

• Assist in Sales support & training.
+ {% P& W; a9 P6 x6 _# S( b9 n• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

• Proficient in software use and writing.
