Scope and Purpose of Job
. q# y4 T7 }& b, ZEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.( U8 w8 |. v. B" u
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1 U! ]! j. \6 X( Z& ~* P• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.7 t s( ?# G+ V6 u
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
3 ? H5 v3 S! F* r, ^4 F8 v• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
' p9 M) b8 r7 l; q7 V, m% mo Test all new patch versions of software prior to release. C! y, T* [( Q$ Y+ `. ^; v0 M4 _
• Assist where needed in application questions.

o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures( W: A8 L* v& c/ j2 L" H2 w
o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
# s! A; U _( z• Track and report all warranty failures

o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.$ N7 W2 ^% A7 L' w3 Q
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

# ^5 I, K- z" I, so Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.0 \; r; Q( o0 F
o Act as technical applications expert on development team.

• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.9 P& y$ \; Q, i. L: N$ d
• Background knowledge of dispensers and software
