Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
/ G, ]2 c6 O  n6 x! s6 T& wEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
, h# a: y* t. s* _Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  b% g+ \+ D+ R5 G7 s( Q3 E, i•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
: {; F% M* H8 g4 P3 Z•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
: i' s/ C! J+ m- w" Ho        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
+ x4 T9 r+ x' I! @; lo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
% W, [" N" I% P' |o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
7 y+ f0 Y/ n3 U; ]7 @o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
' R2 n; N* q& D3 I# ro        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
7 p5 y5 o$ `0 p  ]  T/ L) O4 l7 Ko        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
: @( D8 {/ j/ V& a5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
& ~3 p3 ~+ f/ h. P) IList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
* z  J1 v2 d- v' I•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
2 H# @0 T" o. G" v9 X•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
