Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.# S, i$ l. t* A' `( s! m
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
; q1 E! k( V v6 j0 Q5 q• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.9 C" C3 K' G# f3 Q
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.. @6 r2 P3 `$ v( W. ^
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems9 w/ D1 |1 O2 f) `
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release/ {) c% I: M# O @ g
• Assist where needed in application questions.* ?4 R: |6 e* S; A# @
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

• Track and report all warranty failures% n& }: S# w: ^/ X
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier./ W8 L/ Z9 K4 |+ J+ Y6 C
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
% U) `1 M5 }1 G• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
