Scope and Purpose of Job' R% g' ]2 s  y: J, [# @
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.. X3 a# i0 q! d
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- E7 [) Z% o' t0 y3 M2 _$ z- ]•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
) e' c) a1 |8 {•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations." m. t8 w9 I+ f1 N
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
) i3 D( v3 _( ]4 E7 b: A: {o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
* B) ]) L! l; Z2 {" {2 {•        Assist where needed in application questions.
; n* |' L9 Y& {•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
8 j8 h; F1 u" u" w9 io        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
9 g4 _" g, D# K- Qo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed1 Z7 Z& e4 E# {8 S0 B
•        Track and report all warranty failures
( ?2 L' @3 c  J7 t4 Bo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.2 g" {) W/ y4 j& e
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.* _0 Y% z+ i' a# G9 P2 O, K
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.3 z! u+ T5 B, E. q1 x4 \
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
4 G. C' E7 B9 L$ l. I* zo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.9 t& ^" c$ \' x
o        Assist in writing and new product specification) v2 p& \! ~3 c/ u
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions." W- t+ l1 r: {  }
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

. E2 [: K. a- c. Y( g; [9 J$ gProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        ( |5 N5 S1 c9 Q9 _3 L
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
, L. v1 g- K! s4 q6 Z; kList of Skills/Qualifications       
) E) }/ _6 k! q•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.  t' i7 I2 J1 p+ a  ?8 D
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 2 [4 F: _) U& M% T/ K, t
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
" g+ ^; T/ E* B' d5 m•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
; C# P. O* R5 C7 z* Y•        Ability to travel worldwide.( b- M1 F! q4 c) I9 u4 o2 J; g
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.0 M: f+ e+ `6 s1 l3 n) Z9 y
