Scope and Purpose of Job
) A1 K E% }$ F( W7 S3 W6 k) ?Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
" p" Z3 S7 q2 m7 h7 s: _Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
) ~' L) E$ l, m0 C• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
+ z s* Z& F' N• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.9 i6 N! _7 J+ u n* W
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems0 D+ _6 `4 B1 o) f, ?
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
D! [0 e( p9 X8 h5 X2 M4 z• Assist where needed in application questions.
# H2 s. w* @9 K! P, f8 w• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.

+ k+ D- u% d9 E5 jo Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
' L6 k7 r, n) h9 `4 Jo Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
# b3 O# Q) _% H# z( Mo Assist in information gather for any new product idea.' A# l8 D% s% h2 H
o Assist in writing and new product specification
- { R/ r4 u$ x, [2 Qo Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.6 g. U7 A1 }1 V1 c' V2 c+ l8 m
o Act as technical applications expert on development team.5 Y6 x1 r5 S8 q8 M
• Assist in Sales support & training.8 U0 u$ S7 K/ { h* ^' A0 R
• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.! U6 V7 u7 W. \$ a a/ \9 R6 s9 @
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers7 M. H. u$ c! p* T1 K) \# z. j% r1 g
List of Skills/Qualifications
2 y* I5 x( Y9 M# K• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.# U' o9 v; j. W7 z$ t( F" u; B
