Scope and Purpose of Job
' [1 K3 n9 b: B( o. |$ V8 ^* TEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment./ d% c$ A+ h. P% G+ e( q2 I* L
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities# n3 P, X9 ?' }) J$ v# R' P
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues. o7 J; }& O4 m7 k, i) |
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.) G2 ^7 }# R( `7 m
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems: C& g$ f1 t" b0 E
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release" n+ ]$ n& P1 x/ @7 J
• Assist where needed in application questions.$ F8 v6 C' J- F; E- Q; O, _
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.3 w [- T; d) f% s$ Y% |+ H/ |
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ { |5 _- x" C" [o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed4 f2 |9 g+ y6 T( o
• Track and report all warranty failures) V5 C# d' i7 R, l: U) ]
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.- H. |) n6 |, F, e8 l+ d: ~
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.4 x% I( V6 O8 r' m" w
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.: _/ K. e" o/ a( j( h, r
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
" d7 Z6 U9 q, c( q V+ Ao Assist in information gather for any new product idea.+ Z- r; b! D/ {
o Assist in writing and new product specification+ C: x* w b/ m, z$ R: R: n
o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.% P% l; K# U/ h8 S' q3 \- {) Z4 a6 d, q
o Act as technical applications expert on development team.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)
* U6 R8 m& u# w/ E2 z0 q% i5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers7 V# k) X' }1 X: Y. o* T0 ^, _. k
List of Skills/Qualifications 9 E& @+ z: F& E6 `8 N4 v
• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes./ k% z9 b3 {$ w! P
• Background knowledge of dispensers and software # C" S' K4 [: U$ E- F
• Proficient in software use and writing.
& M* ]+ r* t5 o. l• Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports. j5 n7 h* \3 ?& j' \9 }
• Ability to travel worldwide.
