Scope and Purpose of Job
; e) ?1 H% f0 H2 D8 B- n' U1 CEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
! q/ h5 ~, N% e8 g  cMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
! x0 i- K  E" q•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.% c' Q9 t/ Z8 I0 C
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.; A& p6 y2 q" Q: U# {8 I
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems3 m8 T( t) i1 G$ [% K0 h% H0 `
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
0 M; f$ j0 m/ V$ v- q9 s•        Assist where needed in application questions.
, q" L9 Q8 F0 o8 T. z" a5 ]•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.$ I. h: z: y# D0 s6 `
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures' k# o2 R0 `4 g
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed0 n' U4 C0 B+ s$ w$ k
•        Track and report all warranty failures
2 v/ ?% ]* r# i9 ]& B- K. Ro        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
6 d; T- C" v4 U( f) W. Mo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
2 U; }. |( f7 Q+ j5 t/ S8 E•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
6 W* b/ g  n7 s2 m* N1 J$ Jo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
7 f7 b, D6 |- \6 B& ]! wo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.( R* y% O3 x8 y8 V
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
* u, r. c) r8 ao        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
7 |7 r8 ]0 ^6 xo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
& h$ D+ B% C2 ~% U•        Assist in Sales support & training.
! L' L* z$ \+ E# r  J) S: R: k•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.* c5 z( O8 c$ b) C  h

! N% V/ b8 Z$ ?, m5 r•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.( p- V; C* u: H$ _. s. ^. }# K2 f
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
