Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
3 c: F. s; A6 zEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
$ m' }1 a0 p# D9 p* TMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
. Y  y# g; r- N  J•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
. Y4 j7 ]7 F; }- s  ]0 ]•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
. v5 K5 u0 N& G: ?3 O5 [8 e•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems& i# V+ y+ b! u5 u! O; n, Q
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
' r' g3 |2 n" y7 Q, g•        Assist where needed in application questions.
( Q* p+ ~; \8 s, g: E  i•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.9 [( |8 a) D- |  I. g6 j1 c
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
( u2 ^4 w  p8 Bo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed* J- X8 ?& E) g6 r& A, f+ j
•        Track and report all warranty failures
% Q+ v3 @% q: w' o% z* x/ o3 Ho        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
7 U7 }+ L- s2 Q) w4 po        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
! i" ]8 D2 h4 |! ]+ q- G•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
: j, o5 K( u7 Uo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
, r6 t5 c/ i. e- q- eo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
$ p* K$ }. c% W1 R6 l  f1 _o        Assist in writing and new product specification( `( `$ I/ e( C2 P
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
1 s* A' @3 L  l: o+ ho        Act as technical applications expert on development team.  s, b# M5 b7 H
•        Assist in Sales support & training.) ^. f9 u" ^7 |' Z4 y5 w, g
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.5 ?+ N: r  G4 k5 g# B
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
& u+ i; Q9 G# {9 A6 t5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers% C9 S' I$ F( O8 C
List of Skills/Qualifications       
. }' L2 U6 O9 k7 A2 k1 H•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.* v) K( M8 F3 n$ |& c! ?
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software / h3 Y- Q8 T+ N* A6 ^2 y
•        Proficient in software use and writing.. Y: V" S. J; n+ u$ ?
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
/ F# u3 o3 w' G$ E- H. E•        Ability to travel worldwide.
$ i3 @  r! }- w; `. V; q+ A3 a•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
