Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
% a" K4 d# r( a' W* vMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 m  Q# _' [1 @5 c7 P5 x5 t+ d•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.7 |- p9 Y. W- U! R1 q; a' i1 O3 j
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.9 `! \+ Q, ~) F0 p* n) m
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
! g3 T3 }9 I4 E5 j0 c& t: [o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release% N2 u8 R) |; v. O9 \, S  _" {
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
% ^7 Q. i8 l" d- _  u•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
1 S% v8 w; V& m) H+ W3 `o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures" u0 ]' e  j0 Z( H
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed7 G" I% F6 b% U3 ]9 ?
•        Track and report all warranty failures: {& _" q, b' ?+ Q
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
3 g7 D7 F" Q# a  ]* bo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" t+ c" p8 O) i: |•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.+ x, S2 @2 Q' R; b; v; Y
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports% n1 ]/ Q% y: h1 O
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

7 [# G. Q! q# v9 N$ g" so        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
+ u+ Q7 \8 S5 d( w# v- io        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.3 {0 q& @5 i1 E; Z2 ]

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.2 l' ]  n2 P3 N1 P* e
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
