Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
+ X$ K# r6 l- Y•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
) \/ ?, N3 j( w" ~. s, @' v2 Bo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
5 V2 o1 t# I* q5 B- L•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
+ b* h- {, t% D5 g) io        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
9 L$ [5 k% g1 `- v% m; ]o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
! [% Y6 `* c+ `) v" n3 _' no        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
# @8 b; Z7 [- |* W) _9 k! Bo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' C" i/ n; b0 t+ d' z4 `: E4 ~. H' {•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
( Y+ [# J1 W* A) D  X! d& |2 h•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
3 ]- z* x2 {: H4 n+ o. ?% G•        Proficient in software use and writing.
9 K1 J9 [6 @3 E+ m7 Q+ K5 V  S•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
