Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
; Q: @1 s& W: b  O- }0 g+ UEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
1 o' L* N9 t- c( j5 l•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.* ^0 h) n: c7 H& a! e$ }* y
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
5 Q: s3 ^; {: E: T" _( n8 to        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release) ?$ b$ ?" n. C
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
& z" K6 y8 U0 f1 K- O•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
3 j2 p. l6 \7 {4 a5 V3 go        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
7 C- Z  |6 @" D6 F, w) s. xo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed' D: {2 M$ U1 C3 B
•        Track and report all warranty failures1 _+ _  J3 ^' v- v( _/ y
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
  T( c: K5 ?& }. Q2 L6 ro        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.3 R% M2 B2 H6 G$ B
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
7 v6 I$ I; c2 So        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
; S9 w* U! I9 a1 C$ no        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.' c$ e3 S3 V9 B
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
; ?6 r% T( N! s+ |; I' e8 Fo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
( [/ f& ?, E' l! E# X/ xo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

List of Skills/Qualifications        . v7 c. S) d3 D3 G# E9 `
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
# y7 o! F) o# R, S7 b* u6 d1 j7 `$ b•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software & m  d  w& T: P( C0 P: f1 w
•        Proficient in software use and writing.$ q0 B1 \8 @2 C# @7 F6 e4 |6 v

•        Ability to travel worldwide.
