Scope and Purpose of Job
1 X: |5 ~8 v; {/ {$ H9 BEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment./ V5 o, Q% ?' d
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
' m3 }! f' n0 {/ j2 m•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues./ I3 d8 M0 g* k+ X9 B
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.4 z7 ]' K+ a2 |. u1 B5 e7 F; [8 \1 Z
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems: C) [1 U" o! B2 K7 ~: w
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release# L# |% W. g5 N. R
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
  G! `- ]$ l' _5 x9 [5 N% f•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.7 h- o+ k( x% W* n# A
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
- m' S( @, p- u5 E3 `7 t9 m" d  Q( V8 Jo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed. N1 @  ~8 ?* W: q6 I5 b7 A& D
•        Track and report all warranty failures
& A; i; J5 k" k+ A3 w. \/ Go        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.! r" y' a; B4 Y; P
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports* g. p8 O. @( D/ q  f" c
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.4 G) c: k' t* o3 j3 P+ v
o        Assist in writing and new product specification# Y. m6 m1 X$ B+ c; T& M# w4 b3 n
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.5 ~. g6 t% `% }* _
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.& s) N9 N- A" i
•        Assist in Sales support & training.4 b- w9 B1 |/ C; K
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.$ f9 Z# L( {# H
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers; u2 q. ]/ h$ \$ F* t$ D
List of Skills/Qualifications        : _% t* e! a; F) u
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.7 f' W, }  w7 B
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software ' t/ c7 r# n, `
•        Proficient in software use and writing.5 H. A0 R/ s5 R* u& R
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.5 B9 E. G7 J* n+ [' b
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
