Scope and Purpose of Job
) n2 r8 V. k8 v0 `& H# ?; DEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.0 d, z4 n% t4 y
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities/ i. X1 N, l. d3 e9 v* ~% Y
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.4 q& O, ]$ \/ }5 ]0 h0 b5 t+ F& Z
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.( e; [; X6 G/ k$ C
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
5 X, m( E# V3 N0 Zo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release% v/ o4 ~4 b; j$ u+ N4 j8 K( @
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
& |# A/ R( L0 v•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.2 Y. T6 n8 j8 N* I, b
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures% G7 C1 d, }/ Y5 @6 y, `
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed8 d& _+ f% B; R
•        Track and report all warranty failures
2 w( D9 W9 Q, O+ [o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.& V& Z1 C) x, |, }0 o# }+ w
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.' w/ v5 ?; t8 R' z
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
+ s  k  |) \" J$ s2 K8 Jo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
& ~" x' v) K3 ?. E4 Uo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.6 p3 X' |' p6 y+ Z  f( j7 w$ w+ S
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

6 _4 Q$ e" m- L, M8 QProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)        : y) }- R! h$ ]
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
! \( z. ]% ?* u0 WList of Skills/Qualifications        ! V* K; B& |; s- X2 v' ^
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
  `% A8 ]4 S, I8 u  o8 y" \0 N& m•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 0 j6 D9 ?# W0 j/ K! |
•        Proficient in software use and writing.& _+ E0 y7 ]# o" d
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
% q# M& k: [& h9 \7 Y( ^•        Ability to travel worldwide.) {/ ]* f5 h' o2 Q+ D
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
