Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; J  p+ y, \8 yMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
; P+ p# ?- l# I5 E( r•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( T, s1 I- W$ K# D5 y" k! n•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
6 p% q6 I0 C8 b% ~# H( K/ ~: xo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
& D  t- _# X4 b  ~2 i. }$ W! u" W•        Assist where needed in application questions.
+ A/ z/ u, y/ u5 F•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
3 R$ G9 u# @$ m: j8 e" a; to        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
/ k; \/ _- J1 }- }2 Ho        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
0 |6 F. H5 E" m/ }3 X5 H  F•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

' o/ a8 h/ P1 \1 Q$ Y8 a, `o        Assist in writing and new product specification
6 t2 P, V) ~% o2 \+ do        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
& v: X, ~( }) s7 I/ z: P7 e' io        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
& _  Q2 ]0 Q) u- E7 |2 D•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
! G, |( o+ y- }o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

& O7 w( Y0 s  r+ DEducational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
$ I& x- v1 `: Y•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
