Scope and Purpose of Job
( n+ z' z; e7 b" @* e7 g! fEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
+ R% t1 R! m) z) MMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities  ?7 u1 h+ D2 ?, E- Q
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.9 J4 ~" x. p' H# w- {7 R; N+ Q
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
3 P, I: ?) b1 ~: t•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems' j$ A5 u* c8 Q; l( F
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release: q, E3 d& ~; D
•        Assist where needed in application questions.( M9 {9 y5 l# y1 J$ M
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.  ~6 W7 N, J/ V& N4 _$ r6 W
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
: `2 _$ A) k# t! C, y5 w, `6 ^o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed. r" v& U6 t  K: z3 Q& f* F6 i
•        Track and report all warranty failures
3 R/ f! Y4 I7 M& w# M  }o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
* I# ~; A* g+ F/ }o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
( ^9 J1 x1 C3 e) e& E1 \; k•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.0 q; v3 G+ v  o8 g5 O4 h
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports! Y6 C9 f3 K! [  ^" \$ E
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
5 q$ D' o* V/ n) h3 K6 Go        Assist in writing and new product specification0 ]. T! o+ }) A
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers# l' _/ X7 n. C
List of Skills/Qualifications       
, }3 H) ]# k' D" S•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.& |9 N/ C) s( B9 Q( z) ]& z, }
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software $ _# ~8 `3 O0 D3 ~7 o$ S' {
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
  P$ X' \8 {; f# s$ F•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
