Scope and Purpose of Job

LEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.5 X, j0 O: i6 _* q7 x+ a; ]5 B
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 u( [7 P$ g9 U) f• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
6 j/ ^$ n6 D% T1 h% r! ]& \+ [& S• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.4 e) f) O _1 @# _
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
" v. [) s6 c5 Jo Test all new patch versions of software prior to release9 h& |; K7 x8 D- U9 b/ T
• Assist where needed in application questions.

• Track and report all warranty failures

o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.$ n4 W, A# _1 Q% K
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.1 o% g G8 L$ {7 j% Z. e
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports+ b3 C! O. L" a G& q. w. O
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

& V7 M( `& S. X' Z h3 ^• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.: M4 E7 V% g/ h) N; L
