Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

, C' X& Z* y& ?Scope and Purpose of Job
) e# c( J. ?( m6 n, p) I) LEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
6 E% q4 a, \$ g: K& YMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities  {' q, N2 ], }
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' p9 Y' f9 ]0 w* M3 }. U•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.8 p- E( |$ b, b; N
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems$ }, a$ z. }( M* B0 [# q2 B8 s
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release) a# c- _3 u& W) H1 z' ?- K/ t6 v
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
" t! k1 ~( M$ w% h' g# C5 g•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.: F/ [8 f* J( s, F1 K4 K
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures+ A" K* J# q1 N
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
  ^, [, o! s( Q, g5 Q( a# }•        Track and report all warranty failures
0 R) R' H+ Q: d. c) _3 c5 io        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
. m2 V$ u; n- y% Zo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
: D# N, }' P* E7 w! q•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
7 z8 u' `* B6 [# [o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports2 J, J# u8 s# z! }
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.2 \$ i  _( ?! o4 R9 `3 }
o        Assist in writing and new product specification2 j; o' x4 ]+ j  k* X
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.7 n& k/ r. q3 C2 N* w) {  _
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.- U" R" U, @; h: m; N8 g
•        Assist in Sales support & training.3 B: C2 S6 P, M9 G
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.2 a1 r- _$ o7 Y5 ~2 R  r' |6 z) y
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.0 g' g/ Z5 }" ]$ i, }

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
. ]1 D% i: h/ Q0 }( K' bList of Skills/Qualifications        0 B4 ^) n) R! v9 d( i
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
4 X+ M; p% e9 `( Y•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
( C! ~, j& {+ W% K  W•        Proficient in software use and writing.' y/ e0 R3 g& a
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
