Scope and Purpose of Job
( s2 b. z' l8 V$ W, w, j- GEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
7 g9 V! r8 _3 `$ D' ~8 ZMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
3 M5 s% O; k7 M•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
, e% t5 c6 D* t$ K5 b4 w" y•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
) }' q! N/ X% H  {2 ?( p8 e& Co        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
1 z' [8 u# l- B4 G8 Ao        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
) ~: G6 J, u1 b6 W3 fo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
. H% A6 R6 m3 ^; Lo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

3 C. V5 B5 v  @$ Lo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
9 ~8 C4 U, x1 U: l- no        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
/ i; O1 e: }0 s0 Y: }9 T  ~: {List of Skills/Qualifications       
* T' m9 T; @; u+ e$ ]+ B5 t•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
  f+ i) `/ ^9 j; J, I•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
4 I" F2 I  Z. y0 t$ C9 Q# k•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
