Scope and Purpose of Job6 S9 N  v# I* q% Q5 z5 R
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
3 \, b$ b1 I$ d  B1 FMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
8 _5 x6 H: K, H8 Y6 G7 V•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.; v& ^( t  x2 F; G7 C- M  ]' H" [
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' n. x& K, a6 F2 d•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems. F+ s( c2 ?# e7 j; u" s8 G
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
5 u: I% l# u/ C$ Q4 i4 n! h•        Assist where needed in application questions.8 m* Z& V2 W: I% C
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
9 v3 R* ]* O; lo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures* a0 b* U/ L& f6 \  ^' l9 X: I
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
# d) W2 {; }' [( B•        Track and report all warranty failures- ?) N% b0 K6 B# W
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
/ `: `# m7 d. C) b6 S% c! lo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
  i" D, ~( k: B* C•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
- ?& s0 S: A6 I" S, [o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

o        Assist in writing and new product specification
" z5 R! z# V( ^5 go        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

•        Assist in Sales support & training.

•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
