Scope and Purpose of Job
% q) B$ s) |: [Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
+ C/ I+ X) X* S& j0 e& ~Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
) i4 @* d5 F+ T•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
- {! X" w( ~- c( C1 b+ Q4 K+ V•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
9 ?3 w+ j: \- ~# l- \" Y3 qo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
6 J; o3 z( G5 N2 M& M5 `•        Track and report all warranty failures
. E+ ^- _: ~, s6 n1 I6 ^$ A; Ko        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
8 r$ g7 c9 h' A/ s/ Bo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
/ u" R! T1 M4 v# T" t1 Y•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
' H  E4 K  `+ W  uo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5 m8 M* y& [7 w/ Y% l•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
