Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011. K3 j; K) P0 \

, G9 z2 @$ ~, hEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
! J# X3 c% T# r( aMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities& v4 W. q( D  R# ^5 ^
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
  I# U# i1 W, W4 O) L4 N+ r3 Z•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
0 d+ J, j; H) A% h. ^/ O•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
, O6 ~2 m" l2 V/ mo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release' V4 ~" C& C) D+ G( i+ L
•        Assist where needed in application questions.0 Z4 N% E9 ~/ C$ q
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.1 m7 Q, ?$ T* v+ c
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
  @% |, t4 @0 l1 d5 p* R) y" s( ~o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
' H  q; D: k3 Q1 g  a- `•        Track and report all warranty failures
2 {- O/ k: n! @* F6 [; a5 p$ Po        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.- e; n1 m. U( B3 u2 m
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.! o9 D; T1 Q9 }7 C7 z
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.; m3 `: Z' R* F; [/ m+ z
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
' l/ \6 C9 W/ ro        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.7 C* z' d7 z4 Y
o        Assist in writing and new product specification( b. m# r" Q, L; B
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
! L  x2 H4 s, j& Y# R. J1 go        Act as technical applications expert on development team." I6 h! t( l" v2 {) K! T
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' @9 j# M# E, u: v, Z/ z•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.5 r: [6 i3 Q3 M' k( R* d
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
9 z1 C6 s5 N3 H; }5 O" Z8 nList of Skills/Qualifications          E( X6 N2 A; Z" R
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.  }: a! o1 q- D8 o0 k: R
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 4 l' k) Z3 V. h- ~- i' s) |7 _
•        Proficient in software use and writing.* Z( z% C. x8 A  W2 K
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
