Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 20111 b* G* H0 U2 J: M/ ?) j

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
4 I* P& l* U( g) _+ ZMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
0 q5 P/ s- S4 t+ f; A* E7 `% ]•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
) w: {  W' i8 I9 |# V% o/ c( G•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.8 y2 u' U& v- J6 z2 D
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
. j* m4 m7 L1 R7 \- to        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release8 B6 L& Y7 f7 G; Q% b
•        Assist where needed in application questions.- O3 B, W; W- z# K6 X
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.9 I' A; i3 J0 q( W# Z2 X" Y' ?1 H
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures  j- R2 u1 H) b: P' E! @% e
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed  k! l7 _1 P- j2 l' ^
•        Track and report all warranty failures
% Z$ ^# J" r9 j" h" f$ z1 lo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.% ^5 G& f. H/ m4 a2 F
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design., Q% u* w8 P% {0 r6 ~
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
  d+ z' X) ?; ^/ s& Co        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports9 \7 P, b- U+ m
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.$ d) Y) N' }5 p4 j3 w5 _
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
" E- V  Y) d* T+ Wo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.5 a8 H0 \$ o) W9 b; J
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.; [" E3 r0 f& L% E) `
•        Assist in Sales support & training.2 X) i# f% V2 N3 ~4 P( g% d
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

) P- n4 G+ I: BProfessional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
' {8 u/ R; y8 _8 I: v& t& S$ z/ ?# |5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers, U5 j; k7 X( y1 v+ {% ^
List of Skills/Qualifications        4 \, d+ v& X$ d
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.6 m. E! `3 j5 `$ a' n3 K$ L' Q
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
* e# M* g/ ^/ I•        Proficient in software use and writing.
' t; `; ~) Q- b# Y•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports./ z9 [! g+ @) i% X4 {; H3 c
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
