Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.- w* K# {, R5 D& \! w6 ^
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities* y- f) i% b! E* |- B$ z
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' c0 v4 u$ q  m* A) g•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
- n6 p  Y. l5 [2 ~4 J•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
) H2 g3 a6 A* Q( H3 P; V$ po        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
+ j. Z: S  Q- _& ~•        Assist where needed in application questions.* }) Z" t$ I( X1 o+ N3 }
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
4 B% n; Q9 L" bo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
7 |4 q& I% l* [$ _4 ho        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
2 h5 t) K0 \" f1 @•        Track and report all warranty failures
) v/ l+ f1 g# Io        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
' F$ x# W/ b* v8 q/ p1 co        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.  ~2 }" v6 S. R) Y* q7 t
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.0 @8 Q) h* P/ w6 r
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
' N2 `& F4 H; Z- e5 F8 ^: Fo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
) O$ J7 S# `2 }# v% I& C0 {) zo        Assist in writing and new product specification
$ \4 S/ A6 C. co        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.( x) P4 C* [& j/ {7 U& g: y3 m
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.* `! c2 d$ p# e$ l
•        Assist in Sales support & training.* N. y* Z% T/ O$ |4 t
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

: f$ P6 q5 A! z+ a4 G: j$ R# G•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
