Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
+ }7 |, G2 c: n0 v- S$ t5 ^Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
+ |5 q+ l: Y  ?3 F7 F' [•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
) P, G0 V) ^$ x3 B* W•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
5 T3 f' \6 [0 i•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
! W4 [* @- d0 ?# U- xo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
3 O% P8 f# _4 \9 n' o+ F6 @o        Assist in writing and new product specification
2 s# Y# b/ v" h% y* \" M, A. x1 Vo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
3 }& G) k" C: ^/ \5 v6 v•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
% w1 ]$ N7 a( l1 ~. z, ^6 fo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
! A0 K' ~, L% b9 w•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
5 S; s  ]$ c% ]  g1 E- c6 U- L: q•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
