Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
! w* Z7 v- G$ P0 R! K6 `/ z5 vMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
) t( |+ B4 U4 s5 v1 j3 E+ B•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
! l1 }( j  M; W4 n% O, w9 T•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
( z# V" Q6 k6 y, b0 n  \•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
& N0 Q' \* Q4 @: s1 ~' `•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
8 R8 M# M2 e4 S' B5 bo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
  m5 a' g0 X* O) H# v•        Track and report all warranty failures
- G$ f0 t( W* `' C/ X0 jo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
: T4 `8 L# I$ p- B) S3 S•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
* s+ g- d! U% i( Fo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
$ R* R! }9 a0 f; z1 Y/ ro        Assist in writing and new product specification
8 c3 k4 k1 m% I! m9 B" r2 bo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
! j- x) e- Q6 o8 W) P: G•        Assist in Sales support & training.
# W% M9 w+ X7 o: G; b/ A•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

& f$ a+ R/ ]4 AEducational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
4 D2 j2 ?0 H0 Q8 o) i5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
" H8 X3 ?* b* y0 nList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
# O) P5 j7 e# W& r•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
" P3 y. [2 Z+ g$ b4 ~•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
       
! }( n& P9 p$ t' g! ULanguage Skills        Read/Write English & Chinese
