Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
5 }6 j6 e$ W3 j2 g& XMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
$ A# S  y# W1 w: t5 M9 m•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
* F0 p9 X* |% f# p! t' j•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
% z$ x. f% L! G! k( a4 D* P4 [& G# ~6 Co        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
" P+ v) B: V/ E- w# [) X+ d. A•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
2 _9 r4 y* y+ z/ `4 po        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
/ t( b, Q$ ]* A$ E& g3 B•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
  E3 U$ G, [% w/ R0 ~5 ^! _•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
( }# V, u) c0 H7 r5 D* \o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% P+ w9 `' P2 H% ]8 n% j& g8 j- Eo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
& `: [# X2 \+ r! W1 y" H•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
% T. v+ L- V" HList of Skills/Qualifications       
+ E+ E+ L4 I9 y- O; z3 j( E1 v•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
# ^- q3 _7 @8 F; q- g" g•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
