Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

7 h2 U- F$ ~& IEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

$ [8 Q4 N' C# @+ Q$ C+ L•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
. q" ~8 S; s3 n( W•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
  t' p  L  Y3 u! y! l* E* N•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
: L% B" i9 r& s! N& X, t/ m! xo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
0 j+ v2 \" H$ |" d( S•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
  x5 w" S4 A; |. M; wo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
7 F- a! z8 t, n8 Q) Q0 n- E•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
) R6 t- X5 V4 c" Wo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
/ V$ O6 \. i; E& C•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
! ~6 @: j* q+ v8 B3 @•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
# c/ D. Z$ x4 N% g8 s% g; ]o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
9 Z8 H" z2 j+ m: X/ {3 P; X3 aList of Skills/Qualifications       
3 ?1 m1 _2 k7 c0 B# ?, n•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
! B2 b" y/ f' w( \8 B•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
2 T! f) R- _5 Y5 S/ c2 X' y# p4 A•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
+ p/ c( _7 x: S9 L- `•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
