! z% a! {6 Z% M8 l1 \; cEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.0 c* @  z) E; n, p" l
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
2 q/ u( V0 v9 [0 M•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.0 w1 z+ c/ v& _2 A
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
* v0 b4 q; r% T" m' o. T$ D# I* E•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
3 V" p8 u5 M- Y- Io        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release, l: x# a" V8 J% Q- z( r
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
5 B9 |/ {, Y0 o, W•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution." a( C' {  ^: ^! z% _$ w
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
! q, ?( P/ u+ g% L' r$ o6 r1 f0 ao        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed! g5 M/ ^0 z( A0 z6 D1 D
•        Track and report all warranty failures4 K, Q& F! G1 [' e$ {
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
7 U* \) G% q2 _o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.  y2 `1 W& I* U" D( w) z
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
$ W6 `/ w  Y: \o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports  @# j; Y9 N! W% ]- q2 x- K' \
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
; L* Y, x6 ?1 K0 vo        Assist in writing and new product specification
# @8 q5 L1 p, x9 ]. [$ M  q0 T2 go        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.! f) Y0 _% S5 S( i8 ]
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
/ ]2 ]8 w" L4 k! q1 h' e+ K' t•        Assist in Sales support & training.
! b/ u3 v  A" S2 h2 `1 v•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.! B8 m, R/ F  J* m
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues., B' A$ H# ]1 @1 [- o4 R

List of Skills/Qualifications        ' p6 ]& s3 [1 A4 _1 o
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
7 @0 i. W: \" j* U/ q•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
: m/ l6 w" }: S9 H2 H! c•        Proficient in software use and writing.

•        Ability to travel worldwide.
