Scope and Purpose of Job
6 U2 q! e* p  u; L3 K1 s8 R8 E* rEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.7 k  l/ W/ v- K, P
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
4 j4 p* x0 n1 X•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
; x9 \3 q6 b( M8 p7 r•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.( u8 {6 C1 F* A! V& A4 S* m
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems8 Z0 I- F6 z* X" P" L5 D$ Q
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
4 B1 i9 o0 n4 @* k•        Assist where needed in application questions.
& `- J2 [0 j: W) ]4 R0 {•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
' ?6 [; Q7 g, c4 f5 e! {' G8 b# Io        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
2 f& ~& `% U0 m% S9 zo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed2 D: M8 a, P! \4 r, B; ~1 p
•        Track and report all warranty failures
! G( {- r7 ], U( o% Uo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.2 o/ M) Y! I9 v% c$ B6 {' l
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
7 b% q% H. r8 J$ o) S•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
3 V5 A0 N* O1 D+ x/ d; vo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
* _8 W2 u- i+ H8 W" Qo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.' U5 N& u6 Y6 }
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
+ t5 y% t, E% E( qo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.0 a! L+ ^7 g* {( t, N1 y8 ^3 r& f
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
/ B$ I  @: z8 C) y9 f2 m% Z5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
; `& @) N, s7 i# T7 j. T( v/ |List of Skills/Qualifications        & M  E/ ?# d! m- Z5 s  s
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
( W3 w" T3 o# W+ _9 b- _•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
, K8 X" o+ q; H7 F•        Proficient in software use and writing.
/ ~  w3 W+ g" w7 i•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.1 o4 o, n  B3 t2 s! j$ d1 d
