Scope and Purpose of Job/ S) {, ]9 u" |5 o9 r' O5 h
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
8 C8 n0 M8 b, D5 C•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.1 \7 N1 _' V" o
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems1 k; k$ L- q6 Z: D0 D6 X/ ?3 @
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
) y& z6 n9 q& H" O0 v•        Assist where needed in application questions.5 K8 J" c7 `$ e" f5 A4 X
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.$ [7 Q9 q  F" c
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures4 _- p' k* T& @9 E7 v5 W
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed2 `9 b! q; u1 X
•        Track and report all warranty failures' V% t. e4 D9 A$ o6 S1 `# q
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.# `* c9 O* j% S: K3 G
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.3 H1 g1 B. `! z/ C( M9 d( f, [
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
, c* t/ V7 D2 `) [3 _! {" bo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
4 k* F+ e1 G1 \: ao        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
, ^- S: @1 S9 _( Z- p( M1 No        Assist in writing and new product specification& [% d; v' P! m4 H  J7 X
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
+ w- ?" v1 I  do        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

' r0 a2 W* M) w•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

- ?) _2 o+ e) U. v# v- I•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.
