Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
' r2 A$ U# a# X% f7 r& ]Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
5 R5 v# B( U  e8 H5 \" g6 NMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( ~: f7 Z* M8 z6 }6 {•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
0 l4 o$ g& ^- y* F. n% P) X  a3 m5 x•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
# E# V$ k4 `- d•        Assist where needed in application questions.
' E# g$ [# t4 S5 Z: o9 J# ~•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
6 s, c$ i% N# z( ~/ bo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
" |; U4 S3 \: u% f6 n# G7 a$ f•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
# f3 }# Q" ^' a+ L- _, Q- vo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
- @, m& {/ N9 D•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
/ ?0 w9 R0 |+ I5 t* Go        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
( ^! }$ G. C5 Z: t# oo        Assist in writing and new product specification
- `1 A' q( }& @o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
; x" ]  w! e4 R% m7 g$ s1 X3 k2 Q•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
7 h* o, m6 l. N0 l. p5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
$ i: L: a: J8 m1 r) O2 p) U! \•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
* n' w( w0 k2 ?+ F3 Q! `•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
7 s+ c& j9 a& W7 ^3 D+ u•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
7 w* q" s! W. [" b5 v5 `•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
