Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
, u; T* T8 C& ~9 do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
" q- g) b8 r1 e" R' w& s•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
, _5 t0 {  e& z" mo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
5 y# {- t' c% P& n9 F1 F- f. k0 P$ Po        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" n( @$ @7 f$ d•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
% f  K$ H$ \+ O0 _o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
5 `2 s# ?/ ~* u# i0 Vo        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
9 A. O/ n2 P: I$ S: V( ?0 K•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
* y( v# W0 s3 P% l# y4 E5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
