Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

5 _# d: j- Z6 JEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.& a: M8 o  A+ s# v& P7 T
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
! K# k* |5 t' h: n1 d' L, d•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
& K8 A& X8 R8 @' B% q3 E- H•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.- K8 ^* `* q! v( w
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
# n  h0 W2 g" S1 [! T4 qo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release7 i! j0 W3 v" z! p4 Q4 \
•        Assist where needed in application questions.6 w! m8 P/ l% O, d
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
) O+ O- F- p! U' J3 A; Ko        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures  h1 k1 o+ D; [6 l4 h
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed- y+ U' j: v, D2 R
•        Track and report all warranty failures
  A: }1 H4 W2 Oo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
# R8 m$ n! y* J4 Y8 I  V, Q: X  so        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.7 g8 s$ m9 Y( ^! h# s5 [# t* V# J" Y4 k
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
; g, M0 |4 k& c2 [$ s3 u& co        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
3 V  _0 O4 y/ I* a1 |o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
: ?3 @# o% ?$ _" G- v: fo        Assist in writing and new product specification: b0 ]( t" M! K! D) w4 Y
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
0 Y5 n. b0 m; I8 m2 b' H7 yo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.: d! ~5 E" P- ^3 [4 S
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
# O. _, r8 S1 Q7 F3 T, Z•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
' A$ I' v$ k! C8 ~o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
+ L5 R3 I6 H' Z" n% P" z5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
/ X  h6 M' I4 lList of Skills/Qualifications       
. ]  Q9 n. Y3 V( \6 S/ J•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
3 X0 L% \, n9 ~. y0 f0 n2 E4 D•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
, ~0 l2 ]6 h6 h1 o& E2 O: \•        Proficient in software use and writing.
" t5 T9 c( v' P1 B2 ~! R# ]•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
: ~% M. r! l' E! K9 A' G: C* S•        Ability to travel worldwide.
