Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

; e/ H0 D$ @) \; q8 ~•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
7 u: }: H* n, [6 ^•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
! m2 B- d7 L# {. [0 no        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
1 |( _, ~/ l+ j, N•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
9 c4 j$ Y7 V: Q. go        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
( g$ h# v7 q+ {( h: e* n5 ]  p8 Z•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
; L& s' K7 D2 m5 Q  b+ Lo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
* y' i- i' S) x5 Ho        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
/ @* J$ g- \; o; q2 l1 w" N4 w, |•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.
