Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
4 p) ]+ `2 k  _) c! JMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
& E' |% J  D$ U0 W•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
- h0 M* i* r' J- I•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
9 T. N0 Q1 J+ ]3 b! so        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
( }; U' P& ]+ j- g0 k- d•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
" b! o: U& C3 v) ]+ ]8 O: E/ Jo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
6 v% e1 k4 g) O# ^) s•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
$ I4 U* ]* S, k" q9 f0 T•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
: l! o) i( B" b& u# Qo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
. Y# {4 E" O" m' q•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

3 [0 J5 ^" W) w2 N/ ^7 Y5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
; y, Q9 G; R* k2 d5 K3 V  _List of Skills/Qualifications       
( f! N/ ~/ Z+ w/ x+ B- v4 R  r, h. A•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
3 h' x3 g3 i3 @. ~  \' B: Q/ X•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
& G" `& y1 D* O1 A$ T7 R" `7 O•        Proficient in software use and writing.
- W7 h* }( R' f! [+ P7 b( z•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
