Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
: P% V6 P8 O8 ^, N# W. E- MMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* E% S. r  o3 j•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
- n. u- E, Q) ro        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
4 w) Q& ~9 i$ c# l' T& K•        Assist where needed in application questions.
1 A  e  m' E$ B# ?, t0 l) Z' p2 c9 M•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
! u% _( p" x9 K8 Ko        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
0 P5 ?8 `5 w2 s& p+ p/ zo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
" h* y1 t( i5 U, Go        Assist in writing and new product specification
( P6 f% f. d1 O& U1 |7 Ro        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
( |5 d) Z$ [9 _- L! z8 d; u1 Y•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

( J* [0 y8 f( a1 h6 C- Y0 ^' t•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
' S! [8 |3 _  X1 U3 P/ c•        Ability to travel worldwide.
