They can change the price they like. The Builder also put in a lot of FINE PRINT to protect them in the sale contracts. So they can adjust the price they like even in buyersmarket. I purchased a house in 1993 in WEST END. The price was 120,000
, I( R7 |; B: n: ]at that time I got a pre-approved mortgage and with no conditions on the contract. I got the mortgage approved and all paper signed. The Builder began to build my house 3 months later. The first day, they built and found the ground condition is no good. So they called me they put in 8000 dollars for piling so they need to charge me for 8000. This the start of a nightmare. Later, the salesperson told me. she make a wrong estimate for the additional features for my house. So she need to charge me another 3000. When the house complete, the house has not been rough graded. I need to hire a contractor to do rough grading before I can get the compliance certificate for the mortgage. |
