Arming

Starter Kill automatically (called Passive Mode). If the system has' P2 Q9 y' I! S, Q
been programmed for Passive Mode, the Failsafe® Starter Kill will
# m' A+ p! w" n9 G0 r/ sautomatically activate 30 seconds after the ignition has been+ H) j+ {% Q8 x- H- J; s
turned off. After the ignition has been turned off, the status LED- l0 Y+ V& T" s/ `/ ]2 O
will flash rapidly to indicate that the system is in Passive Mode.
. o+ i6 E3 _: V$ U; u1 DIf Passive Mode has been programmed on, then it is also possible5 j- f( j# e) J3 P/ l
to program the system for Passive Locking. With Passive Locking,
; T1 V& {( z7 d6 @the vehicle doors lock automatically at the same time that the Failsafe®$ ?, E9 `6 a( u. c+ c
Starter Kill is activated. If Passive Locking is programmed on, care
4 G# r; y: K, {4 x' V c+ Umust be taken to prevent the keys from being locked in the vehicle.

Pressing for one second disarms the system and unlocks the

If your remote transmitter is lost or damaged, you can manually/ U; G# c& V$ a* D9 m
override the starter kill. To do this, you must have the vehicle's
( q+ b8 _! k( O7 d5 w# @ignition key and know where the Valet button is located. Be sure3 t' a3 Q! p6 j% o; O
to check with the installer for the location of the Valet button.- J9 M" d) C% u8 p) ]& Y
To override the starter kill, turn2 }$ M/ b; h* _5 c3 z* r
the ignition on and press the7 K* c% \7 v% F; ^5 t( Z. ]- N
Valet button within 10 seconds.
' N* ^' L, U1 C+ dThe status LED will stop flashing' y& s; Y0 \' H; j7 P8 _4 _3 K
and the vehicle should start. If it does not start,
/ E5 ^6 B% Z3 J: ?( E6 hyou may have waited too long; turn the ignition off and repeat the& D' Q4 v# a5 ^5 _, u
process.

You can prevent your system from automatically activating the
