, w: D! [; y8 X5 d-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
, y$ X: t8 _0 y4 \-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
0 r) a% T/ g" c. e. y& ]; H-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
. m9 G  O. Z  r4 m0 a1 b9 b-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
9 Y% g3 g7 B9 i0 c' q6 I( m-        Testing system changes;
- L2 v6 A2 U2 s- o* [  ]% D-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
1 I! @0 c- h+ y3 Y3 F8 I; I/ c-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
8 R, {+ e3 D, S2 G-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
7 A. [) r9 j1 n" _9 U" ]-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
% {% ]# R5 H. [3 r/ T2 @& e-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

$ n& o: L) ~7 O* h' Y5 n, ?2 e(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
! c5 t/ M2 `, g- i8 N( J6 `for incorporating new technology.
5 N) F/ H+ ^8 E& d2 u3 d2 n
; s! x8 G9 U- N: o5 ^. [(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

. G5 W& `1 Q  g( C9 D(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

6 A( `" |  V) N3 |& G$ H$ E, g+ d(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.
& u4 w8 L# B- P& V" o, K8 k/ T
(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

# P( T8 Z7 M3 t5 L% l0 s(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

4 `  ^: z# _1 z0 E' F' z- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
4 z6 F3 ~8 E4 m2 F- [5 t" R- Pdflib
+ D9 Q) n- ~7 v% z0 }* m- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

+ X* v' V4 i! Y; X/ J4 L3 L(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
