-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
! O; a% p) O9 g: O% i7 Qtechnology;
( D4 ?6 u, [- o4 U" |-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
! D) m1 j. Z  m6 E: q- E-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
" k- Z5 U$ ~- p8 s1 ~5 F+ ]2 c: v  m-        Participate in peer reviews;
  _# g8 ~3 v' O; c+ H7 G! `3 h-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
! _0 r: ^6 ]0 l-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
' Y; M5 I, h1 o$ A3 W$ F-        Excellent written communication skills;
1 q1 G6 k% f2 }: \' W3 v' z8 B-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

-        Understanding of project management.

(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
: @/ |" ]% q' sfor incorporating new technology.

8 c% s. s6 w$ b  }1 V& g1 ?(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

. i8 R! P- D4 c2 N(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

/ x6 i2 }0 r. n# `1 I" s3 C(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

  F2 Z! U! h7 S6 ]5 ~! T(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
- Crystal Reports

* r1 F, r% T$ D" {$ J' e(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- ]; N' ^8 a) U% L% t. ~- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
