Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

7 i5 |: H: i% v* x% TWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

: }4 e/ `/ x( z7 O: i# a• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
' w- m3 Y# |( v/ A- v% s• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# {4 E2 ?; }# I3 n• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately" l1 ]! w% I7 L+ o+ C9 E8 c9 ~
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 f) S' d5 u- t• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents; c+ b7 H2 q9 a; n, f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" r% _6 p$ T! V6 u7 y! J; F- c
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& `! k, [' }( M+ ]- a0 @ O
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 ^6 @# |$ a1 t: {/ Y' W• Good English writing and oral communication skills
# `8 h: o) j! W" ` B8 U• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' x: l& t, c# N5 Q+ d• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ M' J, [( r/ V/ {# L9 V
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately / ~( t0 J( k9 |
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:: w8 g- s* _: R1 P; P
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# g$ i% z6 K$ h; t( {& P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
1 A7 \3 u: {1 s3 B8 Q, I• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ S/ A2 ~- d$ p) ]
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
