Position Summary:
& e# V( }1 E1 ^* U; r+ NWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

4 a* B5 \$ F p: z- S: ^• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
! U4 P' ?0 w! q, L4 I0 Z• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 r" ~# }9 B+ x; o# Z0 D• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
5 I! p4 C# k* e" e$ W$ R% h4 _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# O0 ?9 x t6 \* W" A& I• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* _' \9 v2 F: N! W% h, t( y) Z• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

K9 z+ O% f- @4 j, W• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events4 X- f' i0 R6 V. v2 k
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
+ J) y% Q: D/ T8 B• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

6 p- L2 D4 v. j6 P• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 s7 r/ ?7 K8 a! S; J/ G• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& o) a2 U: G7 W' P U3 a• Good English writing and oral communication skills
" l; _4 Q9 F \1 U5 k• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
( Q' A, b5 G8 m1 Q( X8 b& C• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services4 V& p" H; l% ^

Qualifications:
3 N- y# L. d# O+ p% {. D• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 `/ n8 M' d2 @6 H6 |7 z4 j) P6 \• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- Z. | L! h, ^• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
