Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary:
1 m: n+ J' P4 S; i% |+ U) P3 DWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
& C3 {& D. k2 l! N# m2 b, A8 I• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person9 ?1 M% V, o8 I( s5 k) a2 ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! h, V' ~3 ]. b+ k
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% a# e ]0 R, n/ |• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ |5 [ K( r8 y6 u7 e6 B• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. j# K6 s# s: v3 B9 Y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events) o# }5 b3 F' X# x% ^. @
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Perform general office duties as assigned

' c; f6 s$ M! x' T( p. ?• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 l% ~. J$ q4 G# O9 j9 G- S- _
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset* O2 _8 V9 N/ U* m
• Good English writing and oral communication skills5 Q4 y# L5 \/ e6 [2 s
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients! T- s( k# i& u0 {8 h6 L
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' E; |/ q8 s3 `
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ) m% ?# U2 d. E; v! M9 H
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# J4 [' @8 k' ^9 H r# w( P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' B0 l( Z; d) p. G9 T+ n0 M
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
) l: s5 p1 U Y7 ]0 O• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
