- submit information for community news 0 g0 }" f8 c. k
- provide volunteers to update membership database M! b3 z5 V6 u1 y9 a+ f9 f
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
1 i. I. F& l. y/ B9 X- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties# m# R6 d! P' ~
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
( }4 ^& c @2 E- provide volunteers for various programs
' T& Z7 [+ V; c7 e$ I+ K- Z) q- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual, D4 c( E0 }6 d1 E& }; @
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
( C4 ~* L4 u. x& d( r* G& o+ o- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
' C- {1 u7 f' ?) [- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
% X" F4 f p1 g8 v- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports1 ?- f. j+ l K7 L( }
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
. U2 h4 O+ d$ q: v" |8 U- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
) J6 p4 x- J2 \- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
, a9 n. ]. n/ C- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 5 j+ ]8 ^% B. z+ n. d* }& \9 @

Qualifications
( W! w6 o4 l" ?' B4 p9 q* f- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
' ?; ~! y! d9 V& ~: Q2 B! K) V- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 p7 D* F. K |& o7 |
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
9 |4 K2 o7 O9 k5 G& f* J {- leadership skills
' ^5 D8 t8 j# a8 A- management and supervision skills
$ l! R3 ?6 g1 e5 S8 F7 T- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
