& [) g8 j# ?) A6 BCareer Edge Organization is currently looking for help to fill a great internship opportunity for a Letter of Credit Officer with Scotiabank located in Calgary.

Mandatory Qualifications:

! i' w4 ~% u/ |4 X$ t2 l•        Several years of practical experience in Trade Finance activities
. K  r3 F% S# k- X* ]0 e( Q+ d, n
•        Thorough and complete knowledge of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, the Bills of Exchange Act, INCOTERMS, world shipping practices, and Canadian / Foreign customs
$ d( s7 n7 }8 N2 W" @9 p
•        Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, International Law and Customs relating to Letters of Credit and Bank policy as high level transactional support to customers is required
$ u' v  E6 u0 X4 C( E* S
•        Capable of applying knowledge in accurately assessing / mitigating transaction and compliance risks and making judgemental decisions on problem transactions

2 V* H# |- V& R0 x: y•        Comfortable working in an environment involving significant risk exposure to the Bank.

•        Possess an ability to evaluate high risk, complex transactions and make recommendations to the Senior Assistant Manager to minimize and or mitigate potential losses to the Bank and its customers.
