A Fort McMurray man was announced Thursday as the winner of $21.8 million in last week's Lotto Max draw.# }# L- S' y% R- E& K
% f6 |" X9 ]. Y; P$ `8 i4 C* KChris Fowler, 55, is a heavy equipment operator originally from Newfoundland who has lived in the northern Alberta city for the past 30 years.

Fowler had been carrying around his ticket for days before checking the numbers at a local gas station. Now he's making plans for his winnings.
