Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 [! • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, q0 ]0 v D! b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 f. N" u9 z9 z! z- h, a" f5 ?
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately- M. F; i5 O `& t
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
6 C* R/ Z, z/ I% z& o3 z* M: |7 m' \• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# k( w6 u! o! K* S1 T1 _% O
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& f8 M5 S9 N S' S
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
* P' M1 ]. ~$ w4 Z% U1 z+ c7 f• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

- J4 b4 C: R% i/ o$ }' v• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 H' i6 C: o; G% f0 Z8 P
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset3 m+ d5 Q7 N i: M6 i
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
* d+ o7 b% }! o3 M• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 J$ {# h/ _4 T• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 D6 w4 z( A8 D
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately / j- v2 g7 j6 E$ n0 x& @
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds3 ?/ C/ O: I& Y
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:7 V: T+ q$ G7 x
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# `, x" T$ t9 O" Q3 W0 j6 Z1 B% E% B• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' d2 ^' a) ?5 v. Z$ Q. `• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
