Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 4 w3 y. {1 ~9 n- @4 v; D/ d6 i

Key Responsibilities:* m: o* [& Z9 O& D8 s
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
4 U6 ]: m n% {/ f• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 }# g0 b9 o: S6 b4 r+ P5 {; w• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 z, r/ x7 c8 H. x% k• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 L. K G9 F8 K6 X. r* `" p% F$ _) m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents" _; i7 d: B4 K! w/ R7 K
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

# u4 L l" Y! _7 \7 r• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

% k- U6 n U% \% t• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
3 J. [" f5 ]1 h3 t" W" t) Z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset$ \, }" c8 j5 c
• Good English writing and oral communication skills9 [$ g! s2 A) w# b* a4 B- ^1 O: H
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
; T5 j0 ~) _5 p; z l: s" H% b• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ {" n6 C! g- E& Q9 c
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ) W; R% D# J& c8 q' p" [

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

- c% j5 w& a( E/ Y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 W# B7 V# q' g: \• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment- |- M9 p' b0 ~! [
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
