Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
+ N: `1 k9 V2 w: }' i. L• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. `1 z- e* k0 {1 t" ~• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
+ m' w' ]% B: @* I0 R' p7 p; S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% ^) Y, J& v; j6 h% t• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
' Y- E& J$ S# `' B) F9 L• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. I D$ j% x9 h" G; G! T# s
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# b. }; i1 X; o) z- f" v0 C
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
0 g/ h& P/ {+ G H• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters1 {6 Q( K* _* ]; L
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
# p2 d- O6 t w. V• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% e4 o% O- ], n
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
: K# s, n, Z/ C. f6 j" O0 W• Good English writing and oral communication skills' H6 j6 r; H5 U+ X- R& p2 O
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
