Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Y: Q6 P1 vPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ f) ?1 r2 D- h
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
( g- G: |3 _) `• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
: X5 Y) ^$ n. G• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: ~/ C. c( V5 V0 M7 b# a9 e
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents) Y3 ~' M6 O: z$ d
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
) F( {6 V/ }& e# m- C• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Maintain front counter service files) Z- z9 `$ L, m" `3 t% @
• Perform general office duties as assigned

% K" H2 R& m! O9 YKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
# L" G6 w& d( X( a• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ U/ o1 N, C" z5 R# f O) i8 @
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
) V7 y9 D+ ]; R8 g• Good English writing and oral communication skills2 d4 T/ N9 k$ M6 o; P3 W, B2 R
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients5 X0 a* a' _& ]4 j
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ! q( Y; k! v: X* t4 s/ T3 O/ |) a3 L
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment# w* T" _0 J3 n) X2 ?+ [
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ L. ^% [) g' b1 {3 ?
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision0 f2 d" B s% E- ^6 n# Z' Z4 c
