Responsibilities

·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear

·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings

% [7 q/ f9 i( ?& H5 j9 ]·         Reviewing vendor drawings

6 t$ q' W7 Z/ O5 M+ Q+ ^·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

+ S/ b) j4 e. n* n% N7 [1 g) W·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

·         BSc in Electrical Engineering
- M& z( w% A' h, H9 t. X3 W( V( o
9 {5 b) q. d' r/ n* A·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

  ]' a4 k$ a6 w5 `·         Attention to detail is a must

9 ]3 a: k) x& I0 X4 w! L·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

4 z8 Y1 B/ O% b" ?; o- i( w& t) {; n·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

·         Be willing to travel

Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
