( U1 ]  V% K- R5 h" DLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

. O( Y% I' ?5 f3 {7 QResponsibilities and Tasks

! w* X  c9 j& W( i% v/ v# c-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
, v9 ^- \2 ~6 g* {-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
( c; y4 }' g( l1 B8 f) g$ F  U4 ~0 x4 M-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
9 P% k8 k6 R1 q+ R7 d-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

9 E& X8 b( Q6 d-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
6 P+ Y" S$ z/ j0 l% S. q-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset

-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
