Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

. L/ g$ {! S1 Z/ tResponsibilities and Tasks
% P2 N7 _/ ]) Q! z, u4 t/ B7 T7 Y2 E& K/ q4 Y$ w$ {
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment 4 q! r. ~6 R* i8 X' H
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
5 k! |: \' c- H1 G- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
" z6 k" s$ Y' l+ }: O( e- Select type and size of pipe required$ y" v' f$ B& }+ x9 }
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
2 t$ h. X z: P4 n, M, s" @- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system6 x: I! H: S0 u
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
# P+ v4 S5 k+ N+ I$ S- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
/ X8 D3 j+ h8 J4 d2 ~. r& }- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system, |1 L* @( _4 R& P5 f
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system5 Y1 `5 q; H* u' Y, z4 g ^
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program( f0 d4 w& t$ x% O
- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

7 n5 e5 _: y$ `Required Qualifications+ Q& h3 f+ q" ~3 F1 Y! L
0 j) R+ G" ?* Z O# ` V- Completion of secondary school1 |6 C( b! P1 u- m v1 V( H
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation , t; C# ]( q5 b4 e) k6 _6 N2 C
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals' l0 J$ U5 n( d! A c3 \- T* ~
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence# Y! Z s* D7 J/ w, s% z6 N
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
