REBUILT means it had been previously damaged in an accident and it was fixed and certified by a mechanic as roadworthy. Minor damage or major damage can be considered as REBUILT.

The Salvage vehicle inspection mirrors those of other provinces and territories and requires that rebuilt vehicles be restored to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) specifications. The inspection normally takes four hours to perform. It includes all aspects of the Out Of Province vehicle inspection, as well as the structural integrity inspection component.
