Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
' f) n9 s3 g, e; c# n6 T. R" J, k" e
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales.

• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year., ^0 E1 H, e; o- }( V8 I

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.0 A% k1 a) M; ?) u

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.# _5 `- F, X2 [$ m/ M

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

* c1 A) Q7 e T6 w; n% J• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

! u; O) y9 P3 D3 v7 ? G• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.; c+ e) J' E) c% K) o

Job Qualifications
( v6 A" ?6 L2 K! M& B* O7 ~/ N; l5 \* X• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

, c% Y8 b8 t I$ y6 y- m6 z8 u• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

3 j# l- \6 \( [• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

; t$ W5 k+ i& S+ m6 `$ @% F4 l# Z$ p2 S• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

! y3 ]2 I+ _: B, E' h1 c: r" Q• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
# f3 f, }+ i" r; B, R; t
• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
