Job Description:         

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

" F% X2 N4 H4 w, F+ s" ?# E) S5 t1 |• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

* }7 g+ g* H3 S- i• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

" |; |! s5 ?. X( ^$ S• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

4 ~4 c5 H) D3 _7 f• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

0 {& V6 m$ q3 K* A% Q+ M• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

, d/ w( M3 V9 m• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

+ U+ Q  T7 X$ r5 S9 @• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

; S9 b6 g# P. |7 K' R# y$ D$ v• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

6 }# @4 [* K- C7 }-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
