to have confidence in the house condition, you should get a good home inspection done. if the seller has already signed the offer and this wasn't included in the conditions section, then you're out of luck. (probably still a good thing to do so that you'll know what kind of problems you may be up against.)

if you want to the know the history of the house, you can ask the realtor to print you a list of historical transactions on this property.
