They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

For they have their own thoughts.

which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
; F* m+ a' {. Iand He bends you with His might
- {* A$ }' Z# Ethat His arrows may go swift and far.' p( E3 ^( f. s: s: b7 z
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;7 K u! E) i& P: ]9 H2 E
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
/ k4 ]8 N/ Z8 m2 k+ k( L( eso He loves also the bow that is stable. |
