What is the Stable Chronic Condition (SCC) option? ) k5 N( s% n3 a# N0 @1 F; QThis option is automatically included for all applicants up to age 59, and can be purchased for ages 60 to 85 (provided the applicant is eligible). + X1 E% ^: e% _When the option is included or purchased, exclusion 1 in the policy is modified such that, after any applicable waiting period, a stable chronic . X% ~" K+ I$ C) f I2 `$ w' ycondition (as defined) is covered under the policy.
“Stable Chronic Condition” means: a condition which is under treatment and which has been controlled by consistent use of medication prescribed by a “physician”; and 8 h/ _) k! }' }) F8 G. }7 N! X( W• there have been no new symptoms or change in symptoms; and/or. U# h; e- }1 a9 t! E5 X0 T
• there has been no “hospitalization”or change in treatment, medication or dosage in the 180 days prior to the “effective date” of this policy.! t# G1 n' [6 s( F6 \" E
If “your” “physician” has determined that “your” health condition has improved and changes “your” treatment or medication or its dosages due to “your” improved health condition, this does not constitute a change.
