RCMP have been ticketing and towing drivers without valid BC driver's licences, and Chinese drivers in the city of Richmond were predominantly affected.2 L8 }0 P0 K! g

ICBC said the licences were OK, but the RCMP disagreed, saying if the officer could not read the language on documents handed over by a driver, they could not tell if it was indeed a licence.3 ?; e! b/ }! v) {$ r' g9 N( ?

But Cpl. Robert McDonald said now drivers will be able to use foreign licences if an accredited translator has translated them.: H& u/ Z9 X' n
