0 b# Y U6 a4 U, T0 GAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.+ E% L' M7 \) f$ z7 ~/ m8 O

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.5 \( n# E# |. k7 ]( C7 L) a

A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. 7 _0 O- r1 s y# H+ u7 C3 R1 ERivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.3 @7 j8 L6 }4 T0 o) b: O
