We have few machines from china and used here in Canada after some modifications done. I believe most appliances in China can be used here too in Canada if you check the followings:

1. check the neutral wire to see if it is bonded to appliance frame or metal part by using mega meter or check the internal wiring.

$ d, @, w9 M# p. CNormal the neutral wire to the appliance used in China is not connected the ground or bonded to the metal frame. anyway have to check out.; |: v8 U+ ]9 B7 T. W, }. C
7 N0 r8 r2 R! R2 O# E2. Check the full load A for the size of the wire used, it may need to change out the wire and replace plug.

3 Voltage in China is 220V. Here is two phase supposed of 240V (most time less than 230V). Less than 10% is not a big issue. but still have to check out the size and insulation of the wire.

4.Frequency in china is 50Hz and here is 60Hz, if there is a motor inside, the efficiency is not so great any more and could be overheated. Normally it is ok if it has proper over load protection device. |
