被PUT A LIEN怎么办？

最近我和一个水暖工有一个修理费的纠纷。该人威胁要PUT A LIEN 在我的房子上。我知道如果我的房子上有这个LIEN的话，将来就不能卖房。我想请教明白人，我怎么能够知道他是否已经放了LIEN? 我会收到一个什么机构的通知，还是需要去某个部门查询？在EDMONTON应该去哪里查询呢？谢谢。

He is bluffing. I don't think he would do that, it probably cost more than the money you owe to him.

I know there is a builder's lien right. However, if he is a just here to fix your plumbing, I do not think he can file a lien against your land title. Normally, such case should be resolved by small claim court. It is useless to file a lien.

别怕。就算他挂了line,上法庭把纠纷金额给法官，就可解开line.官司赢了钱退给你，输了給他。50元官司费。另外，到'BBB'挂他差评，他就混不下去了。

正解。不过我个人觉得BBB鸡毛用也没有。

他只是一个plumber,还要去走程序花钱来搞个lien（Builder's lien？不是他自己想搞就能搞得），就为了这600，他自己也没得到什么好处，只是有点吓唬人而言。跟Land Title买个最近的C of T.看看有没有就知道了。也可以咨询

下次可以找我，不满意直接退钱。你的钱不多,但这种情况确实挺烦人的。

谢谢各位指点。我来说说事情的大概。
! L$ n$ l' f8 z6 `; t我通过某房产经纪买了一个旧房子，问题比较多。其中厨房和卫生间的水龙头、马桶等都不能用。该房产经纪介绍他的一个水暖工朋友来修。当时讲好550刀连工带料，我就把房门钥匙给了该水暖工，让他在方便的时候随时来做。
过了一段时间，我看到事情确实做了。随后收到了该水暖工的账单，不是讲好的550刀，而是1220刀！我通过房产经纪去问，回答是：该水暖工又雇了另外一个人帮助他，这笔钱也加到我们账上了。
- M; `7 x5 h) z/ \% u( ^) O% Z+ O雇人的事情我事前完全没有得到通知，感觉完全是一种欺诈。如果这样也可以，那他自作主张花掉我1万刀难道我也要付账？
我按照事前约定，付了550刀。该人就开始没完没了的索要所谓的欠款，并且威胁PUT A LIEN。
事情就是这样。谢谢大家关心。

除非你要马上买房，否则不用担心。我给你电话解释过condo的面积问题。lien的时效是180天，他要不断的更新注册，也要不断的交费。

听老公说(不保证是对的)。 任何trade people (与房子建筑有关的)都可以put u lien 如果你欠他们钱。最好咨询律师。
