被PUT A LIEN怎么办？

最近我和一个水暖工有一个修理费的纠纷。该人威胁要PUT A LIEN 在我的房子上。我知道如果我的房子上有这个LIEN的话，将来就不能卖房。我想请教明白人，我怎么能够知道他是否已经放了LIEN? 我会收到一个什么机构的通知，还是需要去某个部门查询？在EDMONTON应该去哪里查询呢？谢谢。

He is bluffing. I don't think he would do that, it probably cost more than the money you owe to him.

I know there is a builder's lien right. However, if he is a just here to fix your plumbing, I do not think he can file a lien against your land title. Normally, such case should be resolved by small claim court. It is useless to file a lien.

Hope that you can find someone who can moderate it for you.

This is something that you don't want to see before Holiday Season, yet you have to resolve it to have a peace of mind.

别怕。就算他挂了line,上法庭把纠纷金额给法官，就可解开line.官司赢了钱退给你，输了給他。50元官司费。另外，到'BBB'挂他差评，他就混不下去了。

正解。不过我个人觉得BBB鸡毛用也没有。

他只是一个plumber,还要去走程序花钱来搞个lien（Builder's lien？不是他自己想搞就能搞得），就为了这600，他自己也没得到什么好处，只是有点吓唬人而言。跟Land Title买个最近的C of T.看看有没有就知道了。也可以咨询

For the purposes of most debt collection scenarios, the appropriate lien would be a Mechanic’s Lien or a Judgement Lien.

谢谢各位指点。我来说说事情的大概。
我通过某房产经纪买了一个旧房子，问题比较多。其中厨房和卫生间的水龙头、马桶等都不能用。该房产经纪介绍他的一个水暖工朋友来修。当时讲好550刀连工带料，我就把房门钥匙给了该水暖工，让他在方便的时候随时来做。
过了一段时间，我看到事情确实做了。随后收到了该水暖工的账单，不是讲好的550刀，而是1220刀！我通过房产经纪去问，回答是：该水暖工又雇了另外一个人帮助他，这笔钱也加到我们账上了。
雇人的事情我事前完全没有得到通知，感觉完全是一种欺诈。如果这样也可以，那他自作主张花掉我1万刀难道我也要付账？
我按照事前约定，付了550刀。该人就开始没完没了的索要所谓的欠款，并且威胁PUT A LIEN。
事情就是这样。谢谢大家关心。

除非你要马上买房，否则不用担心。我给你电话解释过condo的面积问题。lien的时效是180天，他要不断的更新注册，也要不断的交费。

听老公说(不保证是对的)。任何trade people (与房子建筑有关的)都可以put u lien 如果你欠他们钱。最好咨询律师。
