10年的美国签证，如果护照到期需要更换的话，美签会不会作废了？

本人想申请10年的美签，但护照还有3年就到期了，请问美签的失效期会不会和护照是一样的。我父母的加拿大10年签证给的有效期就和他们护照失效期是一样的，实际上没有10年。不知道美签是不是也是这样？

美签是正好10年，换护照后，可以那新旧2本护照。

US visa is valid for 10 years, even if you change your passport, the expiration date will be carried over.
Chinese visa will last as long as the passport is valid. If the passport is expired, the visa will be expired. (Sorry I can't type Chinese.)

加拿大的护照有十年的吗？原来是5年的。还有二年过期。是否应该先把护照换成十年，再申请中国十年签证？
