# g; c6 ^5 W& {8 b6 O! nAn Edmonton-based trucking coming is facing $3 million dollars worth of fines under the Traffic Safety Act for allegedly operating overweight vehicles on city roads., C; C3 ~# v! [9 ^
A police investigation revealed that between August 15 and September 19, the unnamed company made 1,907 trips to the waste management facility located on Yellowhead Trail and 170 Street.
4 b3 N$ _2 f0 G: a5 [Police say the trucks were transporting loads that were overweight by a least one tonne each visit. One truck was recorded as being 17.9 tonnes overweight.

Beattie explains that with overweight vehicles, braking can be a problem.
