EDMONTON — Nearly 2,300 violations were issued over a one day traffic blitz across Edmonton last week.

) p# A' @: f$ }Nineteen hundred of the 2,295 total violations were a result of speeding. The rest of the tickets (373) were doled out for seatbelt infractions, impaired driving, distracted driving, and red light violations.

The numbers were nearly identical to a November enforcement blitz, when there were 2,316 violations.
