The Liberals’ first federal budget was released earlier this week, and in it $570-million dollars was allocated for Canada’s tourism sector./ H2 B) n$ C G' \* y+ H( O6 Y
& m1 x& Z9 E6 T- S: X) ORoyce Chwin, the CEO of Travel Alberta, tells the Alberta Morning News how some of that money will be spent right here in Alberta.7 K! t; X, L ]9 R- s: r/ _# S
& d- F& ?' V: N$ @: s. z“$83.3-million, in terms of free admission for national parks, so that of course will apply here in Banff and Jasper as an example. It also looks like there’s an investment of about $66-million for new biking and walking trail within Jasper National Park.”8 }8 U# }* j7 M1 f- S* `

Chwin adds that with the low Canadian dollar he expects we’ll see more Albertan’s traveling within our borders, rather than heading to the States.

That’s going to show a number of itineraries and road trips throughout the province.
