Housing prices soared 38 per cent in Calgary in 2006, with the average price for a single-family home at $396,870. In 2005, prices went up 18 per cent.$ X, |4 p' |+ m
/ R# g, J/ w, NBut as a new year begins, the Calgary Real Estate Board said the vacancy rate in listed houses has reached 33 per cent, while in condos it is at 40 per cent.
