Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
* \% j. R7 h) `7 J9 y. f. F  i- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
& z& M: ~* _: Q3 N$ k! N7 y' ^- Supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
8 P( C, Z, z2 Z( h- d/ e; ^1 D- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
3 g$ u0 j3 @  ?' {1 N- Work night shifts, as necessary
6 D1 ^, v- w* C8 R$ DRequirements:
4 M3 e# ^5 ^) s9 ?3 z  U' C3 w3 I, M- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
- T( j# H9 \. ?" F4 t- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
" W0 m) P4 z7 ?' C& EWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
