If you are happy with 2-4%, I suggest standard GIC from any bank. Manulife advantage account is offering 3.75% per year for very short term (10 days etc.)- d/ b4 a4 ?! r3 Z

For longer term with inestment protection, I would suggest Seg fund where it guarantees up to 100% of your investment on 15years or longer term. The guarantee moves up accordingly to the daily market high for few years and you can sell at anytime with no obligation.
