亚省医生投票赞成提高费用的草案

亚省医疗协会主席称,该草案会使亚省医生在大概一年半后首次提高医疗费用,以此达到在经济繁荣的亚省留住医生的目的,但是这不一定代表对于病人的医疗水平会随之提高。

EDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association. 3 m- K0 T. P" ^* Q"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday. 4 {. r: K8 Z! [4 z5 p$ z/ L

"But to say that any fiscal agreement is going to improve that care would be making a huge assumption."
