' ^- W& S1 H% v; |% W* H- g& IAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:$ c8 k0 Y5 w' r5 ?( j
0 j1 S0 d# v! |3 `
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. / s# a, _" Z4 h+ \4 L# z6 w
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
. t! y" j Z6 B; s, D- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. ; o; Z% [, h, ]3 X) z6 h3 V. X' k
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
- L* H5 H3 N1 v) ]8 W0 g4 p# }& @- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
4 h U" n& \7 c$ ]# c/ a5 O- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 4 I' S6 Z7 @3 L. j8 v% g) T
- Managing shift expense budgets.

2 q! A& f) p: Y# l& B3 x& GExperience and Education Requirements' j/ [- c( G8 s& M) D. {; e3 M
" y, e2 S8 z# Z3 x- Previous supervisory experience
5 L, j+ E0 ~3 z8 U- Strong leadership skills ' L; `4 W% D: m% `; @
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 2 O( l, w2 F) `/ D0 ^
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
0 r& l' m: @+ \* J l5 y* ~0 _- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
4 J3 M, ]7 r1 T- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
