As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
0 l1 H% q. f# M7 W: l7 g2 V
0 N3 |% Y' v0 C+ O- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
+ b6 T O$ O3 M5 r& m' m- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
1 z4 X" ~6 G( R: x6 h% s& P- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
: A& M1 v- [% B! S5 g5 L# V7 ]5 Z6 t- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. - |9 V0 N0 C7 h6 R. }. D6 U8 a, j
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 1 ]% B. g% w7 N) ~3 n3 [
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). / |( o6 c' E5 y* ?, A
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
/ c+ O, }: P+ z& i& v- Strong leadership skills 5 b. E; }. K+ Z( w; D6 v# c
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma : w/ k A' E4 ~
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills & d7 q# X0 I6 @, {3 |* V/ [* P
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ! `# P1 y! S0 s
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
