As you may have heard, a new federal carbon tax will be introduced in Alberta on January 1, 2020. The tax is part of the Canadian government's comprehensive climate action plan to help lower carbon emissions.

% q9 M! P( C4 g$ ]7 I1 O; jWe wanted to let you know what to expect on your energy bills starting in January. The charges will apply to your consumption of natural gas at a rate of $1.0499523/GJ. You'll see a new line item under your gas distribution charges as soon as your bill starts to register January’s usage., W* d' c: h$ i _, W6 m" E! ]
